Another Excellent and peaceful stay, the rooms are comfy and clean with enough cooking utensils provided to cook with if you want to. There are Good views of the sea and over Matagorda. The Maids are always cheerful and pleasant and do a great job thank you

This hotel is in Matagorda, proximity to Puerto del Carmen. It is a very convenient 10 minute taxi ride from the airport. When we walked into the apartment we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the self-catering apartment. It had everything we wanted, fridge/freezer, Cooker with hob, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The apartment has a good size TV with BBC 1, BBC2 and ITV1. Also there is a decent size safe with a key, I could easily get my iPad in it, plus other stuff. Top marks for the cleanliness of the apartment. The pool area is lovely and the pool bar is great value. We used the bar as much as possible. The guests around the pool are very sociable and some of those we spoke to told us that they had been using the hotel for years, and wouldn’t go anywhere else, which speaks volumes. This hotel is such great value. My only criticism is that the reception does not open until 10.00am, but I believe you can ring them, there is a phone in the apartment. We heard no disturbances whatsoever during our stay, the guests are mostly quiet middle aged couples. It is just a 5-10 minute walk to the Spar supermarket and restaurants and bars. Most of the restaurants get great reviews on this platform and well deserved too. Other restaurants can be found on the beach front, 15 minutes walk away. I would recommend Cafe Mocca if you like a latte. If you want to go further afield, there is a bus stop around the corner with lots of buses that run along the coast. We used the No 3. We did the 1 and half hour - 2 hours walk along the shore to the Biosfera Plaza in Puerto del Carmen centre, had a coffee there and got the bus back, couple euros each. Also there is a taxi rank just a couple minutes from the hotel. It cost us 10 euros to get to the airport, a little bit more coming from the airport. Matagorda is a very lovely, quiet resort area with easy access to Puerto Del Carmen and Playa Blanca, I would definitely recommend this hotel if that is what you are looking for.

Just back from a week at Villa Canaima, lovely apartments, very clean. Comfortable sofa, great walk in shower, and loved the drinking water tap. Although we had a late flight really appreciated that we could check in on line and were sent details of which apartment we were in and how to access it. It would have been helpful to have the outside light on. Very quiet and within easy access to beach and places to eat. I was in the second bedroom and think it would have been nice to have a mirror. Great holiday
