HG Lomo Blanco

Ideally located in quiet part close to old town as well as the strip. Two pool areas (one with shallow kids pool) and food available by larger pool -also small dining area just past reception (good selection for breakfast). Pool table for older kids and small playground for toddlers onsite. Very clean complex and friendly staff. Fully equipped kitchenette and lovely powerful shower in bathroom which I loved! Close to lots of shops and restaurants, but relatively steep stroll downhill to beach, fine for us but could be a workout with buggy or if any mobility issues. There was on street parking outside if hiring a car. Lots of taxis around if not! We enjoyed exploring the local areas on foot after a day of sightseeing…some great restaurants close by in the old town. No air con in the apartment that we could see (but we didn’t ask either as we stated at end January so 24 Celsius and pleasant indoors and out) - recommend checking if going at peak times. Pools weren’t heated but nice for a dip- clean and lifeguards on duty at both between 9:30 and 6pm. Relaxing short break at lovely complex, we’ll be back!

Lovely clean room. Great size living area, bathroom and bedroom. Beds were two large singles pushed together, very comfortable, pillows nice and soft. Well equipped kitchen with enough cutlery and crockery for four people. Our room was cleaned 5 out of 7 days. No cleaning Monday and Wednesday, but that was no problem. We were out there for my husband’s birthday, on his birthday morning there was a knock on the door. When I opened it I was handed a bottle of bubbly and a printed A4 sheet wishing him a very birthday. Completely unexpected and very much appreciated. Before we went I read some reviews and wasn’t too sure, no need to have worried. There were washing up products, a tea towel, shampoo etc in the bathroom. There are no mugs just cups and very small espresso cups but just have two cups or take a coffee mug with you. We were self catering and managed perfectly well. Pool area very clean and inviting. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed 10 days at HG Lomo Blanco and had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Didn't use much of the facilities as we had a nice room with a balcony and went out every evening. The few problems we did have were quickly sorted out by the friendly and helpful daytime reception staff. Cleaning was also fine and never too early. Had one afternoon of very noisy people around the pool playing their own very loud music, clearly too selfish to care if they spoilt everyone else's afternoon, they certainly spoilt mine. Not sure if the staff intervened but if they did I would suggest they needed to do it sooner as it went on for hours. May return again however I feel it would be too hot to sleep in the bedroom during the hotter months as I could not have slept through the noisy floor fan provided and there are no ceiling fans. Also we would not have been able to leave the window open as there was no blackout curtain on the bedroom window only ill fitting wooden shutters which was useless at keeping the light out when the window was open. Don't know if all apartments were the same but suggest bringing a sleep mask just in case. Other minor issues were no tea towels, strange in a self catering apartment, no mugs which we had to buy and no bathmat. Other than that we were very comfortable in our apartment and had good sleep quality. May return some day as location is good if you can manage the steep hill.

This is a bright, clean well located hotel with three pools, a snack bar and restaurant. Rooms are a good size but the beds are really hard. We took a 2 year old with us and she was well catered for with a travel cot, high chair and baby bath as there was only a shower. Rooms are cleaned 5 times a week.

Husband I I have been going Lomo blanco since our children were small , the staff across the board are all lovely and so helpful. The apartments are well looked after and modern and the beds are comfortable . The food in the restaurant is good and also in pool bar . We will definitely visit again very soon

We have stayed here numerous times because it’s handy for the old town and the new town, just a 5 min walk to both. The apartments are spacious, homely and clean. There are always sun-beds available l at the pool but some people do creep about at 7am with their towels to get the best sun beds but with British tourists, that’s a given at any hotel/apartment and not just at Lomo Blanco! The food at the restaurant is excellent, fresh goods delivered daily, tasty and they give huge portions so you’ll only need a main course! Reception staff are always welcoming and very helpful. The WiFi was a bit of a nightmare to get connected to this time but that’s because they’d upgraded so once connected, it was fast so I had a happy teen!
