We stayed at Villas Alondra for a week over Easter holidays as a family of 4. We overall had a great stay and would consider returning. Firstly the positives: The Villa was clean and well equipped in terms of the facilities. We paid the 240 euro for the pool to be heated which was worth paying for - although a little overpriced given the price of the stay compared to what we've paid elsewhere. The pool in our classic villa was a good size, about 1.5m deep at the deep end. Plenty of sun loungers and outdoor furniture provided. Towels for bathrooms & pool plentiful and provided, as were dressing gowns. Check in was smooth and we were shown around the villa etc. All the staff we came across were very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast which was included was varied (although sometimes slow to restock when things ran out, we spent 10 minutes one morning trying to track someone down to refill the milk) and open 8-11am which is a positive with older children as we didnt have to get up early to ensure we could eat. We only ate dinner at the onsite restaurant once which was fairly priced and good quality. Location wise you are a 10-15ish minute walk downhill from the main area of Puerto del Carmen, however taxis are cheap (3-4 euro a trip) and plentiful so we mostly just utilised these (booked through the 1Taxi! App to leave the villa and picked up at the taxi ranks on the way back. The actual area that the villas are in is well cared for and maintained. There is a Lidl a few minutes drive away so we were able to stock up on essentials. A couple of negatives/things that could be better in a 5* villa: We were told on check in the pool would be cleaned alternate days, after a 3 day gap when it hadn't been cleaned we message to chase this as there was lots of leaves and dirt in the pool, to their credit someone was sent the same day to do this, but really we shouldn't need to chase. Our villa was quite tired in places, odd damaged floor/shower tiles, creaky cupboards/ bed and damage on the table etc, definitely not a deal breaker but perhaps needs a refresh. There was a broken drain in the pool reported day 1, but no one came. Reported again day 2 and someone did come to check it, and then returned to fix the next day. We reported an issue with the drains smelling in the master bathroom on day 1, to their credit someone went the same day, it smelled when we returned like they had poured bleach down them. However once the bleach smell eased the drain smell returned. It seems a wider drainage issue in that villa (12) as emptying the bath led to it backing up through the drain and sink, so perhaps needs properly investigating! We then had a toliet leak all over the floor whenever flushed, again they did send someone the same evening. He was unable to fix the issue so we were told not to use that bathroom overnight. We weren't told a time for the repair the next day and weren't updated as to if it was fixed, so when we returned from a day
