Good location ! bang on where all the shops is , clean , receptionist is very friendly and helpful ,will defo back again and will stay the same Hotel

Arrived at 9.30pm. No check-in available so had to show passport etc to a radio with camera door entry. Given directions to our apartment and ended up walking around the complex for over an hour until another resident helped us find our accommodation block

I stayed in La Penita with my wife for a 5 night lanzarote break in feb, we were origianlly to stay in Jable Bermuda but when we arrived we were advised we were being moved to La Penita....... 1 plus is, the location, access straight down onto the sea front, there is a pool bar however this closes rather early for an onsite bar, the ladies who worked in the bar are very friendly, food was great and drinks reasonably priced, the pool was freezing, I would give a zero for reception, primarily because I had an accident at 1.30am walking across the pool area to our apartment, there is a tiny step down to the poolside shower which is not lit up, I rolled my ankle on this, causing excruciating pain, after a short time I decided my wife needed to go to reception and request an ambulance, reception is closed at this time but there is someone at the desk, my wife knocked on the door and was initially ignored, she requested the ambulance, after over an hour of waiting she went back to request even a taxi as i needed medical attention, she was then told i will call again, and they are very busy, after another 20 minutes , ambulance arrived, after speaking with the emergency crew who arrived they advised they had not had a call since approx 10pm, leading me to believe the ambulance was not called in the first instance, I have since learned I had a lateral ligament tear. I have emailed La Penita 3 times to discuss how it happened, in the hope to prevent it happening again.......... but yet to receive a reply, I always review my hotel stays, both positive and negative, but in this instance the entire negative is how the accommodation dealt with an emergency case.
