Stayed here in January, and after going to either the Riu Paraiso, Lanzarote Village or the Hipotel La Geria ( all round the corner in Los Poscillios) and also the Grand Teguise Playa in costa teguise, for the last 10 years,.....i would honestly rate this the best hotel overall 👌 ....its not head and shoulders above the rest, but we both agreed it was better than all the others We had walked past it on numerous occasions over the years and were always put off from going to it because of all the palm trees slightly blocking the sun at certain times of the day ( even after being trimmed, they still do a bit in my opinion) but we decided to give it a go and it's ended up being our favourite. Pros -: brilliant location on a beautiful promenade with bars and restaurants very close by...also handy for a 15 minute walk to the end of the runway to plane spot 😀 -:Great drinks choice with lovely cocktails. -:Clean lovely rooms ( although the bathroom was a little dated with no walk in shower, but that made no difference to us at all. -: good entertainment -: lovely, friendly hard working staff ( especially the lovely lady on the night time bar who was so happy and friendly) -: great daytime bar area with bbq's and a great daytime snack choice of cakes, toasties, burgers etc (big tray of lays crisps and nuts in abundance!!! Never had this anywhere before, which I thought was brilliant ) -: kids entertainment day and night seemed really good ( we're a mid 50s couple, so never got involved 🤣) -:But the best part for me was the food standard and choice...I've been doing AI for 10 years now...always Lanzarote or fuerturventura, and I'm such a fussy eater, I always end up pushing a few crackers around my plate, as there's never much i like...but the choice here was way better than anywhere I've ever stayed ( still not a fan of the main meat choices mind, but that's just me I think 🤦♂️) had a salad at lunchtime, which I never eat at home, but with the different rices and cheeses to choose from to go with it , it was bloody lovely...even the desserts had more choice than anywhere I've stayed before... if you can't find something here to eat, you must be fussier than me, which I don't think is humanly possible😀 Cons. -: struggle to get a sunbed that is in the sun all day ( i love to lay in the sun all day, so maybe that's just me 🤷...but we just moved our sunbeds away from the pool onto a patch of grass, and it was brilliant).. -: bar area could be a little cosier and inviting, but it was absolutely fine. Pound for pound taking all the pros and cons into account, it was the best hotel we've stayed at in lanzarote👍 Also, I've read reviews saying no English tv....well that wasn't the case...we had BBC 1 and 2...ITV and chanel 4
