The most disappointing 4-star all-inclusive hotel we have ever stayed in, despite traveling extensively, including to third-world countries. The staff’s rudeness was unacceptable, especially considering the festive atmosphere surrounding Christmas. The hotel failed to provide any ambiance, except for the children’s entertainment, which appeared to be enjoyable for the young guests. However, the smallest Christmas tree was a mere joke. The food was appalling, with everything served cold and unappetizing. Table service was also absent, which contributed to the staff’s discontent. It is difficult to understand how guests could tip the staff for their lack of service. We felt sympathetic for them, despite our annoyance. Queuing with a plastic cup was an embarrassing experience. The coffee machines were equally disappointing, lacking the necessary ingredients to prepare a decent cup of coffee. The only redeeming feature of this hotel is its sea view, which was a pleasant aspect for us. However, the rooms without sea views were subpar. It is disheartening to see that this hotel is receiving positive reviews. These reviews are likely inaccurate and reflect the limited experience of non-travelers. The hotel management needs to address these issues by implementing changes in its operations and providing the staff with better training and resources. As a Melia hotel, this experience was particularly disappointing.
