This hotel is no where near a 4*! Although there are plenty of sunbeds they are very cramped in. There are a few of the usual suspects who reserve and don't use them for several hours. Nothing is done about this by the lifeguards! The lifeguards are completely redundant as just sit in a small corner on their phones and not paying attention majority of the time. We had 2 broken umbrellas Mould entire bedroom wall that has just been painted over again and again with it still coming through. The bathroom is covered in black mould! Poor cleaning standards with the black mould and shower screen not cleaned! Aircon is not automatically put on 1st may as stated in many places is a huge lie. This is why we booked the hotel. Receptionist lied several times regarding ours being sorted to only read in another response from management on our return that it only goes on when the outside temp is 27 above! To a tourist this is not good enough, an outside temperature of 24 makes the rooms extremely stuffy and hard to sleep. Adult and children's entertainment is absolutely poor! Children's entertainment is exactly the same every single night and the adults is even more of a joke! No effort is put in my entertainment team to gather people to join just using a mic constantly saying 'don't be shy' ! Who wants to do dancing or yoga indoors when it's 24 degrees outside? The evening shows are embarrassing for all involved! Cocktails included in AI are awful premixed but if you pay you get a proper Cocktail! That's terrible! Food is absolutely disgraceful repetitive slopes that is cooked hours in advanced! If you go to the grill at the start of service they have precooked meat or fish ages before so it's dried and cold if you go whilst it's cooking it will be raw! I was served RAW chicken and fish! ALL food is cold but the plates are dangerously hot to disguise this, you need 3 napkins to even be able to hold the plate! Sweetcorn on the salad bar was still totally frozen! Chips served for all 3 sittings in a day! Poor descriptions on food and 100% not suitable for anyone with any food intolerances or allergies! Building works are being carried out at nearby hotel which are loud and disruptive at times. We were not made aware of this! It didn't ruin anything but would of been nice to have been told.

Just returned from 2 weeks at Hotel Lanzarote village and can honestly say it’s one of the best. Hotels we’ve stayed at. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful if you needed anything. The rooms were lovely and modern and cleaned everyday, our balcony was massive which is lovely if you like to sit out. Food was very good, always a good selection and replaced frequently even just before restaurant was due to close. We were half board so had to buy drinks, but all reasonably priced, a glass of rose was €3.50 and tasted decent. There were also branded drinks on the all inclusive menu which you don’t normally get. Pool area was lovely and quiet, not much going on but that suited us, there was background music playing most days. Don’t be put off by some negative reviews from a group of people who obviously picked the wrong hotel to stay in - if your looking for loud and lively then the centre of Puerto Del Carmen would have been the best place to go! We will definitely be returning next year

I have recently returned from a 3 night, all inclusive stay as part of a group of 15 women. The hotel is very clean, immaculate pool area and is within walking distance to local amenities. The food was fine, the buffet was typical all inclusive food, it wasn’t outstanding but there was always something you could eat – there was not much selection compared to other resorts I have visited. The pool/snack bar was much better, lovely pizza, chicken etc and freshly cooked. The alcoholic drinks were a mix, the prosecco/wine was very good but the cocktails were pre mixed from a bottle & were disgusting, not what you would expect for an all inclusive booking! Unfortunately the pool bar didn’t open until 11am each day so if you wanted a soft drink after breakfast (where you were offered apple juice, tea, coffee etc) a trip to the local shop was in order to buy a tin of diet coke. The rooms were basic but spacious with everything you need, cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The entertainment was standard. No music by the pool, no atmosphere, there was Zumba on the Friday but nothing Saturday/Sunday. We played our own and got told to turn it down. We met fabulous guests though and enjoyed their company both by the pool and during the evening entertainment. It was my friends 40th birthday and they did let us decorate a table for her on the Saturday night and served us drinks which was nice. What massively lets this hotel down, hence the 2 star review, is its staff, particularly the bar staff and waiting staff. One of our party asked for a bottle of prosecco to take to the outdoor seating and was verbally abused by a male member of staff, the aggressive nature of this male was noticed by other guests, who promptly came to assist my friend. This was a 43 year old lady who was on her own. Another member of our party was offered viagara by a male member of staff!!! Anytime we asked for drinks or food from the snack bar, we were made to feel like a nuisance, they were rude, inhospitable and quite frankly really awful which is so unnerving when travelling with an all woman group. For an all inclusive service, which we paid for, it was dire. It wasn’t like we had huge queues forming behind us, the hotel was not overly busy! I have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel. Avoid if travelling with a large group, why we were allowed to book is beyond me.

We stayed here on an all-inclusive package but felt far from welcome. Most of the bar staff (with a couple of exceptions) were consistently rude and made us feel like a burden every time we approached for a drink or food. It seemed like everything was too much trouble for them, despite us paying for all-inclusive service. There was no music by the pool to create any atmosphere, and when we played some music which other guests actually told us they enjoyed — we were quickly asked to turn it down. Several fellow guests commented on how poorly our group was being treated, and many told us how friendly and positive we were, adding to their own holiday experience. Sadly, some guests even left upset after witnessing the way they were spoken to by staff. The hotel seemed happy to take our money but not willing to provide the service that was promised. Unfortunately, this left a sour taste on what should have been a fun holiday. We won’t be returning.

Nice clean hotel set on the outskirts of the main strip. Plenty of sun loungers and easy to get a table in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive in reception and dining room. On of our party with a toddler were upgraded to a family room, however, this only had a shower where our regular rooms had a bath with shower over it. A bath is more suitable for young children and we couldn't understand the logic of this. The air conditioning wasn't due to come on until the end of April and it was uncomfortably warm in the rooms, particularly the family room. Surely the temperature should determine when the air con comes on and not the month of the year! You couldn't really leave your doors open for ventilation due to the mosquitos. The entertainment was a bit of a let down. The mini disco consisted of 30 minutes of the same routine every night. The entertainment at 9 pm was a singer, karaoke, magic act. It would have been nice to have some upbeat music playing before and after the main act. The drinks on the AI option were fairly decent. I would say this hotel is suited to older couples or families looking for a simple, relaxing holiday.
