Rooms are dated, far different from the social media photos. the whole place needs some serious TLC. 24 hr reception which is a positive i suppose but all reactive nothing proactive. some serious H&S issues, for instance the balcony we were on was the 4th flour one of the metal rungs was broken and an infant could have got through to a massive fall. my son 14, cut his foot on damaged tiles in the pool. we reported it and we got n ok we will look in to it. positives, quite well situated with only a 20 minute walk to the beach and Lido, which is all down hill. on the way back its up about 200 steps and steep roads. the rooms were kept clean by the house keeping department, if it wasn't for those ladies it would only be a 1 star rating. we gave them a little tip on the first week and they looked after us very well. this is supposed to self catering but very limited facilities, two electric rings and a microwave. unless you want to cook Sag Bol every night you will struggle to cook a decent meal. the place had the feel of a hostel for most of the two weeks we were there, a lot of turn over of young guests who had no respect for other guests. making noise all hours with no consideration of others. if you re looking for a short stay for a stag or hen then maybe give it a go. There are a few really good things as well, the views from the balcony were stunning. on a clear day you had a great view of the volcano and surrounding hills. local to shops bars and restaurants.

Massively disappointed, hotel is filthy due to it being attached to a building site, left hand side is being totally rebuilt. Staff unfriendly, bar not open at all, bathroom smelled of sewage, filled with what felt like exchange students.

Älä jää tänne. Lue tämä arvostelu kokonaan, jos aiot varata täältä. Heidän verkkosivustonsa ja kaikki heidän mainoksensa ovat täysin vääriä. Makuuhuoneet tuntuivat enemmän säilytyskaapeilta, siellä oli useita satunnaisia huonekaluja, jotka eivät mahtuneet mihinkään. Huoneessa oli 3 erillistä vuodetta, vaikka se oli yksi varaus. Se tuntui hostellihuoneelta. Huoneet olivat täysin erilaisia kuin verkkosivustolla / luettelossa esitetyt. Tuntuu kuin he olisivat juuri saaneet kuvia mukavammasta hotellista tien varrella ja käyttäneet niitä sen sijaan. Kuva uima-altaasta ei ole sama kuin tässä hotellissa, minulla ei ole aavistustakaan, mistä he saivat kuvan. Ei valuutanvaihtoa, ei vedenkeitintä huoneessa, ei välipalabaaria (se on myyntiautomaatti), ei tallelokeroa (sinun on vuokrattava avain hintaan 26 € per päivä), ei TV:n kaukosäädintä (sinun täytyy vuokrata sekin) , ei "kylpylää", ei ravintolaa (se on rasvainen aamiaisbuffet*, joka on avoinna 2 tuntia aamulla), ei hotellin baaria, makuuhuoneen keittiö ei ole "täysin varusteltu". "Ilmaiset kylpytuotteet" koostuivat saippuapalasta ja seinälle tarkoitetusta saippua-annostelijasta. Pyyhkeet olivat langattomia *"Aamiainen" oli kauhistuttava, kaikki oli rasvaista, ylikypsää, kumimaista ja omituisen makuista. He mainostivat "kylpylää ja rentoutumista" - ei mitään kylpylää täällä tai mitään etäisesti vastaavaa. Uloskirjautumisen jälkeen odotimme 4 tuntia ennen kuin taksi vei meidät lentokentälle. Kysyimme, voisimmeko tehdä myöhäisen kassan, mutta ne olivat täynnä. Ymmärrän kyllä. Mutta sitten he sanoivat, että olemme tervetulleita käyttämään uima-allasta. Kysyimme, mistä voisimme vaihtaa - "Ei ole minne mennä vaihtamaan". Kysyimme, miksi he sitten tarjoaisivat uima-altaan käyttöä - "en tiedä". Vastaanoton henkilökunta oli epäystävällinen ja aktiivisesti avulias, eivätkä he näyttäneet tietävän mitään paikallisesta alueesta. Vain siivoushenkilöstö oli ystävällistä ja he tekivät loistavaa työtä joka päivä. Mutta ehdottomasti ei koskaan pysyisi täällä uudelleen.

Reservamos en este sitio por tratarse de un apartahotel, pero al menos la habitación que nos dieron, e imagino que el resto igual, lo único que tenía de apartahotel era la cocina a la entrada, porque tienes que comer en la habitación junto a la cama. La ubicación si vas en coche es buena, pues no hay problema de aparcamiento. A la recepción, el señor que nos atendió, bastante desagradable y con pocas ganas de atendernos. No nos sentimos nada a gusto con él. Para lo que pagamos, no merece la pena pues la habitación es vieja y poco acogedora. El baño pasable pero viejo. No estuvimos cómodos pues buscábamos un apartahotel y no algo así. La cocina tiene una mininevera, vitrocerámica, pica y microondas. Por las mañanas nos despertaban los ruidos de la calle, pues el aislamiento es nulo, de hecho la puerta se podría tirar de un simple codazo.

I have stayed at this hotel most years since 2010 and only made one complaint in all that time and it was resolved very quickly found staff very helpful especially during the pandemic with all the paper work required. The WIFI is very good and is free the people who complained there was no remote or key for the safe didn't bother to ask at reception there is a charge for the safe as there is in most hotels and a 10 euro deposit for remote refundable at the end of your stay its a clean quiet peaceful hotel with great views of Mount Teide and the rooms are cleaned daily except Sundays its near to the supermarket shops and restaurants and the taxi stance is right next to supermarket, If you wish to go to town fare costs about 3 euro I mostly ate out which was very reasonable in nearby restaurants and used kitchen in room to make snacks. The weather is good in Puerto De La Cruz In all the 12 years I have stayed there about 9 months in total there's been less than 10 days of bad weather works out about one bad day per holiday over 12 years so weather is nowhere near as bad as people make out.

La Carabela is the worse hotel in the Puerto de la Cruz. Food is the most disgusting that I have ever tried. Glasses are dirty every breakfast. I definitely do not recomend you because you will be disappointed at all.

We had a very pleasant week at La Carabela Hotel at the beginning of April. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly diverse; we especially valued all the fruit and veggies, i.g. oven-baked apples, fried bananas, aubergines and courgette, salad leaves and the sweet cakes. The cleaning of the rooms and making the beds were very excellent and took place often enough, so it was lovely to return in the evenings to a well-cleaned room (there might be a need to clean under the bed say once a week though). Although the open-air pool was not in use, we enjoyed swimming a few times in the covered pool, which is of course very handy should it rain. The view from our balcony towards Teide was breathtaking both during the day time and at night. The view from the roof terrace of the hotel was also very impressive and that area would be worth using more. Although there was a need for some repair work here and there (locks on the balcony and bathroom doors, shower handle), the overall feeling in the hotel was tidy and pleasant. The adjacent building was being renovated, but the construction noise did not bother us at all. The area where the hotel is located is nicely peaceful, but yet at a very short walking distance from a variety of shops and restaurants. Also we got a nice amount of exercise when walking down to the lower part of the town, to the beach and Lago Martianez, and then back up to the hotel.
