Royal Marina Suites Boutique Hotel

I really enjoyed this stay. The breakfast was lovely and good service too. Reception staff were a bit frosty once or twice. They changed them every day. On arrival our room wasn't ready and we weren't offered a welcome drink which would have been nice or anywhere to change as we would have liked to have maybe sat by the pool. We did but felt a bit daft fully clothed and with luggage. Another thing which really annoyed me was that my medication disappeared from the room. I've no idea how it was on the table. Cleaner was over zealous and threw a number of things away that she shouldn't have like tops for my shampoo which is a very expensive brand as I'm very fussy about my hair. Other than that great but I think the reception staff let it down...they need to consider how they come across when you have been up very early and travelled a long way being pushed and shoved in the airport and squeezed into a small space for five hours. It could be a more welcoming place however breakfast staff were exemplary and couldn't do enough. The room was very well thought out. I personally don't think it's necessary to provide a meal other than breakfast there's taxis and places within walking distance accessed via stairs. I wouldn't have eaten in the hotel in the evening personally as we like to go out

Hôtel gefällt uns gut, waren das zweite Mal dort. Lediglich das Frühstück ist sehr stressig: man hat das Gefühl, dass man dort ein Störfaktor ist und schnell abgefertigt werden soll. Sehr gestresste Mitarbeiterin und sehr laut von der Küche. Nicht sehr entspannt.

If I could mark more than 5 stars I would. Perfect boutique hotel with staff who could not do more for you, perfect location and fantastic views of Puerto Calero. Wonderful thank you

Visited the week before Christmas. This was our second visit. It was excellent but not quite as good as the first time. Rooms and views are fabulous. Rooms so luxurious and clean. Great bathroom. Fab balcony with quality furniture. Lovely place to sit and watch the boats coming and going from the marina. The pool area is gorgeous. There was a Calima (sand storm) while we were there. Next morning there was a team of people cleaning everything and ensuring it was pristine. 2 things let down this visit. - the breakfast. Very slow service (which I don’t really mind). Poor cooking of food. Eggs really overcooked, despite asking for runny/ liquido. Presentation poor. On one day we waited ages then the full English was hardly warm. There was not one day when the breakfast was good. On the last 2 days we went out for breakfast. - the second thing was the response to my feedback about the breakfast. I spoke to reception about it who said they’d pass on the restaurant manager. I heard nothing else about it. No apology or acknowledgment or request for detail. Last time we were here we had sone travel difficulties and the reception/ management were outstanding. That has really changed. I notice other reviews mention restaurant issues. It’s a beautiful place to stay so I really hope ur gets sorted out.

This was a very nice hotel. The staff without exception were great. The rooms were top notch (we LOVED the beds, and the bathroom with double sink and fab shower). Breakfast was lovely (some delicious, varied, hot options, also cereal, breads, fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee). It's very clean. It's also very very quiet. It has a modest (15 metre?) pool and jacuzzi. Currently (December 2024) they don't offer evening meals other than a Friday BBQ. This was very nice, amounting to a three course meal, but it was not cheap. I doubt we'd choose this option again. Instead I'd walk the 5 or 6 minutes into Puerto Calero itself with its choice of around a dozen restaurants.

This was our second visit this year and we have already booked again for next December. Room were just as good as we remembered from March and having emailed prior to arriving we had larger bathrobes, thank you. We booked a Royal Suite again, situated on the top floor (301) and views are simply beautiful. Missing the view we woke up to every morning. The balconies are so huge and have padded sun lounges / table / chairs and parasol. Perfect if you don’t want lie around the pool or just want a little privacy. Our mini bar was replenished each day and no charge for water / coffee or soft drinks as we were in a Royal Suite. The whole place is immaculate and the friendly staff work extremely hard keep standards at such a high level. This is one of the most tranquil peaceful places we have visited. No music, no rowdy guests just pure peace and quite. Everyone respects each other. Bathroom is huge with standalone bath, huge rain shower, double sinks and amble high end towels. Pool / Beach bag is provided along with pool towels. Breakfast was delicious. Lots to choose from including freshly cooked to order. Lunch time menu is ok but we would have like to have more choice if possible as having mobility issues a walk to the marina is not always possible. This is our own personal opinion but food quality is excellent. The marina is a short stroll away and reception staff happily will order a taxi if required. If you have mobility issues please note there are a large number to steps to reach the marina. The marina has a number of bars and restaurants including a supermarket. I was disappointed with the disabled toiled situated just off from the pool. In March I had exactly the same issue – it was not open after asking several times and when it was eventually opened there was still no hand soap or towels. Despite emailing before our visit and speaking to numerous staff members this was a huge let down. This was our reply from our last review - “About the disabled toilet, I apologize, we are working to improve it. When you come back you will see that there have been changes ;-)” Lets hope it improves on our next visit please. All in all we had an amazing holiday, thank you and see you Dec 2025.
