Cà Rossa Suite and Breakfast

Wow! We just spent a week in this magical place and loved every minute of it. The Ca' Rossa offers two gorgeous stone suites steeped in history but with every modern convenience. The property is located in a vineyard, and offers massive terraces from which you can enjoy the unbelievable views across the valley and to the mountains beyond. The wine produced on the property (by Isaac himself!) is labelled Miracolo, and pairs beautifully with the view! Most of all, the darling hosts, Isaac and Claudia, are warm, fun, witty, kind and helpful. Every morning, they bring the most incredible breakfast to your suite, and it's always full of surprises. Over 20 local juices and nectars are on offer, the yogurt is the best we've ever had and is made in the area, as are all the jams, pastries and breads. Speaking of pastries, every morning brings a new treat from the local patisserie and another from Claudia herself, an accomplished baker. Isaac and Claudia are available always for help - they booked train tickets for us on the Bernina Express, suggested interesting itineraries that are not in any guidebook, and provided the best recommendations for restaurants. Shout out to Otello, Trippi, Il Poggio and San Carlo - all quite close to Ca'Rossa. One lovely thing about the area in general is how so many of the people are dedicated to maintaining and furthering local food and wine traditions. They maintain an incredibly high standard of quality in everything they do. We have travelled extensively in Italy over the years. This space was very special for so many reasons, and will become one of our favorite memories ever. Grazie, Issac e Claudia. Non vediamo l'ora di ricontravi ancora!!

Miracolo è il nome del vino prodotto da Claudia e Isaac che nasce dall'uva delle vigne davanti alla loro casa e frutto di un lavoro meticoloso, appassionato, eroico. Miracolo è la cura e l'attenzione ad ogni dettaglio che Isaac e Claudia hanno messo nella ristrutturazione della loro casa e nell'allestimento delle due suite aperte all'ospitalità. Miracolo è l'esperienza che vivono gli ospiti di Cà Rossa: l'accoglienza familiare, le mille attenzioni, i dettagli, le coccole, un'inebriante viaggio che coinvolge i 5 sensi tra sapori e panorami, prodotti della terra, l'immersione nella tinozza, la suite dove si trova tutto ciò che si può desiderare. Miracolo è tutto questo insieme e molto altro: l'amore di Isaac e Claudia per tutto ciò che fanno si traduce in Bellezza che donano ai loro ospiti come il regalo più prezioso, che si apre con un sorriso e si chiude con un abbraccio, dentro c'è un pezzo di Luce che gli ospiti portano a casa e che rende il mondo più bello! Wat een ongelofelijke verblijfplaats, gastvrijheid, woorden schieten gewoon tekort. Isaac en Claudia zijn gewoon de perfecte gastvrouw en heer om je een overgetelijk verblijf te garanderen. Ontbijt geserveerd op de kamer of terras is fantastisch. Tips voor uitstappen en restaurants in de buurt geven ze met plezier. Wij komen zeker terug! Luogo e posizione meravigliosa!!! 5 giorni di pace assoluta, con viste e cieli spettacolari, dei proprietari di una gentilezza rara... suite enorme, pulitissima, una doccia che vorrei avere a casa mia... tutto pensato nel minimo dettaglio. Per non parlare delle colazioni, pensate attentamente, mai monotone (s'impegnavano ad offrire una cosa diversa ogni giorno), sempre abbondanti. La zona è molto bella, adatta a chi ama camminare, fare passeggiate tra le vigne o nei monti. Sondrio è a due passi, tranquilla. In generale ho trovato in Valtellina una dolcezza di vivere che si è fatta rara in Italia, gente gentile, premurosa, poco chiasso. Ed il cibo è fantastico!! Soggiorno consigliatissimo ＜3

Ca Rossa is a lovely place for couples, with wonderful hosting and service by Isaac and Claudia! They made the experience unique, and gave us great tips and facilitated our activities and experiences. There are many opportunities for great excursions in the area.

Dal primo impatto meraviglioso, c’era una serie di sorprese ancora più inaspettate, dalla cura al minimo dettaglio al servizio oltre un 5 stelle fino alla location davvero strepitosa! In zona, oltre alla vista da non credere, le opzioni per mangiare, bere, divertirsi e rilassarsi sono davvero tante. Una dell’esperienze più belle mai avute.

It is a fantastic experience. The room is so clean. The host, Issac, is super friendly. I want to come back again. If you are alone or in a couple, it is impressive. The view of the room is fantastic. I strongly recommend staying at this property. Very relaxing experience.

Zum dritten Mal durften wir eine Woche im Apartment POP genießen und sind einmal mehr rundum begeistert. Es waren wunderbare Tage, erfüllt von der vorweihnachtlichen Atmosphäre im Veltlin. Und es war wieder ein Ankommen bei guten Freunden. Wobei unsere Gastgeber Isaac und Claudia immer eine Überraschung parat haben. Die neuen Matratzen jedenfalls garantieren gesunden und absolut geruhsamen Schlaf. Am Morgen schweift dann der Blick durch die Panoramafenster über den Talkessel von Sondrio, den die Wintersonne in ein ganz besonderes Licht taucht. Das Frühstück, mit so viel Liebe zum Detail in der Suite serviert, sorgt für den perfekten Start in den Tag: ich könnte all die regionalen Spezialitäten, nahezu sämtliche von „Kilometer 0“, gar nicht aufzählen – inklusive der großzügigen Dolci, für die wir freilich immer erst am Nachmittag „Platz“ hatten. Ein Tipp: auf jeden Fall Claudias und Isaacs aperitivo probieren! Man muss wissen: dieser ist ein aperitivo di montagna Valtellinese und entsprechend herzhaft, dazu noch den Nebbiolo des Hauses aus der Lage Grumello und wir spüren, die Götter sind uns wohlgesonnen. Was die Beiden hier auffahren lassen firmiert zwar als B&B, ist aber nicht weniger als eine vollwertige Vollpension. Wenn da nicht noch die ristoranti und trattorie in der Talschaft locken würden. Schließlich ist das Veltlin ein oenologisches und kulinarisches Paradies auf der Alpensüdseite. Auch hier stand uns Isaac erneut mit Rat und Tat und seiner ganzen Reputation zur Seite, so dass überall ein gedeckter Tisch und Neuentdeckungen junger Winzer auf uns warteten (noch ist der Nebbiolo delle Alpi ein Geheimtipp). One of my favorite BnBs to stay around the world. The suite was comfortable and had everything we would have needed. Our hosts were attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The breakfast was incredible (I’m disappointed we only stayed 1 night)! No picture could do the view justice. We visited in the off season, so it was partly cloudy, foggy, and rainy but it almost made the view even more special. For English speakers, Isaac and Claudia communicate very effectively in English and have instructions and menus in this language as well. Location was great for exploring Sondrio and the Valtellina wine region.
