What a lovely suprise. Nestled in such beautiful surroundings, atmosphere was unique. We arrived late and were hungry, they helped us with a very nice cheese platter and local wine, a must try. Room was great, clean and comfortable. Would clearly go back were we to come to Cefalu area again

De ontvangst was hartelijk door een enthousiaste receptioniste die ons meteen naar de kamer bracht en ook nog een zware koffer sjouwde. De oude abdij is schitterend opgeknapt en ligt midden in een mooie wijngaard. De kamer die wij hadden was goed maar had een kleine douche. Het zwembad is mooi en er is een bar bij. We werden ook nog uitgenodigd voor een rondleiding door de wijnmakerij. Erg leuk en leerzaam. Ik had een arrangement wine en dine geboekt, dus bij elk gerecht een bijpassende wijn, maar dat werd meer speed-dining. De gerechten werden met een rotgang geserveerd en de sommelier kon het tempo van de keuken niet bijhouden. En wij al helemaal niet. Het begon goed, leuk praatje en goede uitleg bij het eerste glas wijn. We krijgen een amuse en het eerste gerecht en het t****e gerecht werd geserveerd voordat de laatste slok van de eerste wijn op was. De oplossing: snel nog een glas wijn erbij zetten en door de uitleg werd je eten koud. Je probeert beleefd te blijven toch? En zo ging het maar door. Daar komt nog bij dat de gerechten geen kleine porties waren, je moest echt effe goed doorbuffelen om die formule 1 coureurs uit de keuken bij te houden. Gevolg was dat de sommelier en wij het zweet op het hoofd hadden staan na het nagerecht. Wat een wedstrijd! Wat wel gezegd moet worden is dat het eten goed was en de wijn zelfs nog beter, maar het gaat te snel. Ze helpen je nog net niet met eten. En als laatste was er nog een teleurstelling: je boekt een diner met wijnarrangement bij een wijnboer en dan is het laatste glas wijn: een limoncello? Neeee! Op naar het ontbijt de volgende ochtend. Goed voorbereid uiteraard en fit. We werden ontvangen door dezelfde mensen van het diner dus ik was klaar voor een BreakFAST. Maar hé, het was lekker relaxed, uitstekend verzorgd, super lekker koffietje. Geen haast. Na het uitchecken gevraagd of we nog even konden blijven om te zwemmen: geen probleem en er is een omkleed kamer die we mogen gebruiken. We hebben een superdag gehad. Dit is echt een leuke plek om te verblijven! Grazie Mille!

La degustazione è stata un’esperienza unica, resa ancora più speciale dalla professionalità e dalla passione di Veronica, che ci ha accompagnati con grande competenza. Veronica ha saputo coinvolgerci con il suo entusiasmo e la sua preparazione, rendendo il nostro percorso di degustazione un vero viaggio tra i sapori e la storia di questo meraviglioso angolo di Sicilia. Complimenti a tutto lo staff, e un grazie speciale a Veronica per l’accoglienza impeccabile!

Absolutely loved this hotel. A very winding pot holed lane to get to the property but definitely worth it. So quiet and secluded. Pool area offered stunning views. Dinning in the courtyard at night was magical. Staff were attentive without being over the top. The 5 course menu with wine offered brilliant choices of Sicilian dishes. We loved ever minute. Breakfast buffet on the terrace again was a lovely experience. Wishes we could have stayed longer. Will return.

Remote and beautiful location with breathtaking views and stunning exterior buildings with fantastic poolside terrace. Excellent service in restaurant and hotel lobby. Please note, always access via the first exit with a red sign...this is not obvious and needs to be lit at night, otherwise there is a second turning a few kilometres later which needs to be avoided at all costs. Hotel makes an ideal short term break of 3 to 4 days. Restaurant food of high standard but expensive. We do recommend the wine pairing menu....excellent. Breakfast is ok but not the same standard as the main restaurant. The Pool terrace whist spectator lacks comfortable sun loungers and there is no provision of umbrellas if you require a modicum of shade. You are offered a shaded tree grove which is not pleasant. In the evening the hotel is dead and the bar is not manned and you have to ring for someone to come and serve drinks. Our room was small and tired with no Aircon until June 1st. There was also a lack of drawers (none) and the bathroom was cramped with a small shower cubicle. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location, the scenery is amazing & the room we had was large & very comfortable. We had booked a wine tasting…4 half glasses of wine poured by a young man who had worked at the hotel for 3 weeks and knew nothing about wine( not his fault & he was very nice..But!) €40 per person was a waste of money. In the evening we had booked the pairing menu… another waste of money! Same staff kept forgetting to bring the wine. The food however was very good… have a meal but don’t do the pairing. The customer service, or lack of it is what really lets this hotel down. Also the swimming pool was filthy and there were no beds or seats by the pool.

Lovely property with spectacular views through the mountains to the coast. Friendly relaxed atmosphere and really helpful staff

We spent three days at the property. Have absolutely no complaints. The restaurant meals, complimentary breakfast and their snack bar food were all fabulous. We participated in a wine tasting dinner, it was great. Also did a wine tour which was very interesting. Their staff are lovely, the grounds are extensive and make for fabulous hiking. All around, we'd go back in a heartbeat.

What we really loved about this stay was that we felt completely relaxed in a peaceful environment. The whole atmosphere was that staff were there if you needed them but it was relaxed and unobtrusive, leaving you at ease just enjoy the space. We had 2 nights here as part of our extended stay in Sicily and it was just lovely

This Agrotorismo Property is a Farm/Winery. Vineyards surround the drive into the property. The hotel portion is as stunning as the photos indicate. The staff amazing, the breakfasts abundant and delicious. We opted to stay on site for dinners and were delighted with the exceptional meals. One evening a wine and food paring was offered, 6 courses with 5 wine parings. By my standards, extremely reasonable, unforgettably sumptuous and delightfully informative. We walked up to the viewing area for a spectacular view of the property and surrounding area. Well worth the climb. I truly hope we have the opportunity to return.

Great place to relax, great restaurant and very friendly service, though not a 5 star hotel. Would definitely come back.

I really enjoyed our one night here. It was a beautiful property and a huge vineyard! I was disappointed because it seemed like they were short staffed and when we went to the bar at 9pm no one was there to serve us. So there wasnt much to do, maybe because it was a Monday night? It would be a great place for a girls trip. Overall great stayand lovely facility.

Otrolig utsikt men undermålig service Stället hade en otrolig utsikt och låg fantastiskt över kusten. Tyvärr hade vi lite utmaningar med att vår A/C inte fungerade så tyvärr var det över 30 grader i vårt rum. Personalen i receptionen var inte speciellt hjälpsamma i att försöka hjälpa oss med det och efter en natt i det överhettade rummet fick vi flytta till ett litet rum som var under den standarden vi betalat för… Personalen i restaurangen var jättetrevlig och det var ett väldigt fint ställe vi satt och åt på kvällarna.
