Capofaro Locanda & Malvasia

Capofaro è un luogo magico e incontaminato .Appena arrivati siamo stati accolti da tutto lo staff che è stato magnifico,caloroso,gentile e professionale. Ci hanno assegnato due camere meravigliose .La mia camera ,la Suite Anfiteatro, era una vera poesia al confine tra il cielo e il mare ,circondata.da un vigneto dai colori meravigliosi ,un luogo di pace e serenità. La piscina bellissima , sembrava un lago Il ristorante è una perfetta terrazza sul mare incantato e illuminato da un faro senza tempo.Ottimi i piatti serviti in maniera attenta e puntuale.Le 5 stelle le merita tutte. Il sorriso e il calore di tutto lo staff rende la vacanza indimenticabile. CONSIGLIATISSIMO.

We loved our stay at Capofaro! We were traveling with our teenage daughters and we originally booked the family suite, but it ended up not being ready for our stay. We were notified in advance and given the option to upgrade to their nicest suite and the girls were given a separate room. Our room was amazing. It had a huge porch with views of the ocean and very comfortable furniture. It was a perfect spot to relax. The staff helped us book a half day cruise around the island which I would highly recommend. The breakfasts each morning were amazing and all of the staff were very kind. I had read some mixed reviews about the service here, but we did not experience any issues at all. The staff went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to return some day!

We visited the Capofaro Locando & Malvasia for 3 nights in early September. We were told that our room was being upgraded and were assigned a “Capofaro” (lighthouse) room with a roof patio with no chairs. There were no water views from inside the room. The chairs on our garden patio did not have the necessary cushions put on them. With this, we felt that we were captive to the inside of the room or the resort’s common areas. The dinner in the restaurant the first night was exceptional. The shuttle service offered to a couple of villages on Salina was timely and well run. As is customary in Italy, breakfast is included with an accommodation. The breakfast offerings at Capofaro was very disappointing. Eggs were not offered unless you asked and anything other than scrambled, fried, or poached eggs were offered at a stiff up charge. The fruit offerings were minimal. Services were also lacking. We requested ice for our room twice. The first time, it took 45 minutes to get ice. The second time, it never came. My wife asked the person making up the room for an extra bath towel for her hair. Our expectation is that it would be repeated daily. It was not.
