Rifugio Della Rocca

The Staff was very nice, and helpful. That is what really saves this review. Let me be clear, this very quiet town is truly a step back in time, and the location to the Castle is want makes it desireable especially if you want to see how things were from the 16th century. The place was clean so that isn't our issue, the issues we had were that we paid for a king bed and got 3 twin beds, not the end of the world but the beds are extremely small and we are not big people. my 12 yr old daughter fell out of the bed as it was so tight. Our biggest complaint was the bedding. It was like trying to sleep on a hard floor with thin flat pillows. It was the longest night of our 12 day trip and no one could get comfortable. The views and hike to the castle was what made it worth this uncomfortable sleeping arrangements. The food was great there and people were very nice. My suggestions to would be, keep the rooms as they are and spend some money on upgrading the bedding and it would have been a much much better experience. Also, the lack of Dinning, there are options but I would recommend letting guest know that from 2:30 to 7:00 pm there is nothing open for Food or Drinks. As we arrived at 2:30pm and found out after so we had to drive 30 mins away after asking some of the locals what was open to find something to eat and drink. again, would not have been an issue if we knew as we would have stopped for that on our way from Rome.

We loved Rocca Calascio! The property was amazing and the staff was so kind! Beautiful views!

Unique experience

Very rustic Rustic accommodations. The bed was hard. The internet did not work. But the staff was friendly and the simple breakfast had fresh baked bread.

Dormire nell' albergo diffuso è stata un' esperienza bellissima. Camere ricavate dai ruderi del borgo, sembra di fare un passo indietro nel tempo ma con tutte le comodità. Vedere l' alba e il tramonto e godersi il paese senza folla non ha prezzo. Colazione con torte e marmellate fatte in casa e bellissima ospitalità, è stato come essere accolti a casa. Grazie davvero per i bei giorni che ci avete regalato! Consigliatissimo

Io ed il mio ragazzo, 2 giorni fa, siamo stati a Rocca Calascio e dopo una lunga camminata, abbiamo deciso di mangiare qualcosa al ristorante; scelta più che azzeccata! Abbiamo avuto il piacere di fare la conoscenza di Alessandra, che nonostante la cucina fosse chiusa (siamo arrivati alle 15,40), ci ha preparato qualcosa da mangiare ed è stata dolcissima per tutta la durata del pranzo! Bravi ragazzi, cibo buonissimo e ottima atmosfera! ♥️
