Beautiful peaceful surroundings Masseria Bannata is as beautiful as it is portrayed online. Quirky and unique in its own way. The surrounding grounds well kept and loved with an attention to detail. Staff is very welcoming and La Signora ever so elegant and present.

Splendida masseria x una esperienza diversa. Una vecchia masseria recuperata con gusto e rispettando lo stile originale a beneficio della tranquillità. Un posto pieno di fascino !! Il tempo ahimè era pessimo e non abbiamo goduto della piscina, che però sembrava davvero buona. Abbiamo però apprezzato il riscaldamento , attivato nonostante fosse fine aprile, ma il tempo da lupi lo richiedeva davvero. Una colazione più che sufficiente (ottima la torta di mele !). Nel complesso tutto bene Segnalo che in camera non c'è la TV , non prende il wi-fi e anche il mio cellulare (Wind) non prendeva nulla. Per me nessun problema ma magari a qualcuno può dare noia.

Our 3 nights at Masseria Bannata was the highlight our month-long trip in Sicily: a truly memorable and unique experience. The SETTING: beautiful and extensive orchards and farmland plus beautiful gardens surrounded by ancient stone walls. Our ROOM--which included a former donkey stable and shepherds' kitchen--was delightful AND comfortable--that's rare! We enjoyed our afternoon spritz on our private patio or at one of the several hidden garden nooks. We had fun exploring and reading in the historic common areas. And, yes, the pool is as inviting as it appears in the photos, especially after a morning of exploring Villa Romana or Morgantina. FOOD: in addition to our wonderful breakfasts, we ate all our dinners at the masseria: each an inspired meal with a greatly appreciated focus on local and organic products. An excellent wine list and all a great value. The PEOPLE: above all, we will always remember the kindness of Nieta, the proprietress, and Carlo who shared stories of the masseria and helped us navigate the surrounding region. Grazie a tutti.
