Louis Althea Beach

Great hotel

My wife, 2 year old son and myself visited in May along with my mam and dad who booked a separate room. We stayed for 11 nights, arriving late on the first night to find the staff had left us some snacks in our fridge since we had missed the evening meal times. A nice touch. The rooms were big enough and cleaned to a good standard. Comfortable with air conditioning. Maybe my only feedback would be the double bed, which was in fact 2 si gle beds pushed together, leaving an uncomfortable gap in the middle. Not big enough a problem to stop me coming back though, just a minor inconvenience. The location itself is ideal, right on the beach, close to Pernera shops, bars and restaurants which is a nice quiet area very suitable for families and it also sits right on the beach offering crystal clear waters and the most perfect, first sunrise of Europe. We stayed all inclusive and the food was varied with a good mix and something for everyone and daily changes to keep it interesting. The drinks available were more than enough. The staff. From the reception, to the bar and restaurant staff and the cleaning staff were always friendly, chatty and full of smiles. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we're fast to help any issues anyone might have had. The entertainment team provided a good mix of activities, shows and games throughout the day and into the evening with the nighttime entertainment performed spectacularly. (Don't miss Dylan's fire dance). They obviously are a team with good chemistry who not only can work together, but highly enjoy working with each other. They always made effort to speak to us and other visitors and seemed genuinely interest in the people they spoke to. Overall, a great holiday at a lovely hotel with nothing but kind, friendly smiles from everyone representing the hotel and Cyprus. Highly recommend. Thank you. Anth, Emma and Max.

We stayed here in early May. On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming, although we did have to find our own way to our room with our luggage. Not too much of a problem. Our room was very spacious and on the ground floor. There were a couple of minor issues- no spare pillow and the TV controls didnt work, but the minute we contacted repection, it was sorted. The room was a little dated but the beds and pillows were so comfotable and the air conditioning effective and quiet. The cleaning was of a very good standard. The only thing that was a bit inconvenient was there were only two plug sockets, one near the floor away from the bedside and one on the kitchenette work top, which meant when charging phones and using the kettle we had to keep swapping over. We could walk out straight to sun loungers and were very close to the small bay which was quiet and ideal for swimming with a lovely beach. The hotel is right on the walk way which goes into Protaras. The food was excellent. The best we've ever had at an all inclusive. There was so much choice and everything was delicious! The staff were lovely - a special mention for George at the bar! We felt totally relaxed and really enjoyed this smaller hotel. By day one we had already decided we would be booking again.

We have just returned from Cyprus and stayed at Althea. This was the best family holiday we have been on. The hotel was so lovely the rooms were really spacious and very clean and loads of wardrobe space and was a Great set up for the kids. The food was great and the snacks for the kids were perfect and plenty of option. The best part of the hotel was the entertainment I have to say it was outstanding. They worked so hard providing day time and night time entertainment getting everyone involved and always had a smile on their faces. The standard of the shows were outstanding and extremely professional. Kids clubs was also amazing with different themes every day the kids loved it. The manger of the entertainment team has done an amazing job to make sure everything is covered and the activities and entertainment were really well planned. When we were there it was extremely windy and in the past things have been cancelled in other places but the manger made sure things were still running but adjusted so the shows could still go ahead safely. One of the entertainment members Ellie really made my daughters holiday, my daughter really liked her and Ellie really gave her a lot of time and really made her holiday special and helped create great memories. we go to different hotels in cyprus every time but we will now return to Althea in October because of the entertainment staff they really made our holiday.

Well located hotel with a smaller beach, sunbeds for a fee. The hotel could improve the number of sunbeds on the lawn. The service at the pool bar is great, especially Hrystina. In the restaurant, excellent food preparation and excellent service by Elbatal, who takes care of the guests in a completely professional manner and will fulfill your every wish. Just come back from this excellent family hotel. After coming to Cyprus over the past 30 years we have stayed in numerous hotels in protaras and paphos. We chose the Louis Athea as it looked very inviting and the good reviews. Food- the best AI we have experienced. Plenty of choice and variety. From the snackbar to the buffet restaurant. Rooms- impressive size, good kitchenette and amazing mattresses. Always important to get a good rest. Very well cleaned. Entertainment- Can't fault the hard work of the animation team keeping the big and small people entertained. Mini disco kept our granddaughters well happy. The kids club was great fun too. Plenty to get involved with. Never a dull moment. Lovely swimming pools of a good size. The surroundings are very tasteful. We 6 adults and two children had the best time. Would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at the Louis althea for making our stay the best. You should all be proud to be part of this excellent hotel. Which caters for all you need to have a great holiday in Cyprus..Demi and Alana had a fabulous time and great memories have been made.. Thank you again from all of us..❤️
