Papantonia Hotel

Came here for 10 nights, enjoyed every minute, lovely pool erea, food was perfect, nice location, and staff very friendly! Entertainment wasn’t great but we weren’t too bothered about that, going to come back again next year we loved it!

We have just returned home from a fabulous family holiday at the Papantonia hotel. Rooms - we had a studio apartment for 3 of us and it was a basic room with 2 beds pushed together and a sofa bed. For us staying for 2 weeks, there wasn’t sufficient storage for all of our things, about 10 coat hangers and just a dressing table with 2 small drawers in. Very clean rooms and was given a once over every day. Facilities - the pool was lovely, 2 to choose from and there was always a sun bed available no matter what time you went down. There is an air hockey machine and ping pong table which is available to use which was good. All inclusive - food was the best selection of salad bar I think we’ve had, lots of choice. The main dishes were a bit hit and miss, as most of them were very rich and same sort of things every night. The snack bar was good, pizza chips salads and then pitta wraps and chips later on. Drinks were a good selection, a few cocktails, soft drinks and beers were available. We also took a refillable cup which we could top up on some machines where you could help yourself. Location was good, 20 minute walk to Protaras, 10 minute walk to the nearest beach and water sports. There was also a couple of bars within walking distance that were good for after the AI finishes, and the Station Pub next door has a bouncy castle on until late for kids. Also a take away there for pizzas and pittas. Entertainment - this was the worst part of the holiday, hardly anything for kids. They ran a bingo round, some face painting and a few mini games with the kids and then that was it. We went around the corner to where a stage was and had a mini disco, but later found out this isn’t actually part of the hotel, it’s the Anastasia next door. Staff - could not fault the staff at all, I think the people working here were the best part of the holiday. Shout out to Sotos and Niyazi on the bar, made everyone feel super welcome and always interacted with my little one. Also the gent in the blue top who works the restaurant, super friendly! Management was always knocking around interacting with people which was nice to see. Lastly Thomas on the reception, always interacting with everyone and an amazing staff member. Loved our holiday and will hopefully be back!! 🩷

On arriving at this hotel the greeting i received from Thomas was something else. The warm welcome was so special and the whole 2 weeks of being at this hotel Thomas continued to be the best and it showed that he loves his job. My room was lovely it was big and overlooked the pool with a walk in shower all my requests had been given. There was a bottle of bubbly in the fridge along with sandwiches and fruit due to our late check in. The rooms could have done with more storage but this is currently being worked at. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the cleaners do an amazing job. The food in the hotel I found to be nice. It does get a little repetitive being on holiday for 2 weeks but always found something to eat. I did say I was missing jacket potatoes and the head chef made jacket potatoes the 2nd week of our holiday they were so good. Spyros deserves a shout out for going above and beyond. I was actually shocked at how small the restaurant area was but always managed to get a table. If sitting outside at breakfast is you left food on your plate to get a drink you would find birds come and eat off your plate but we didn't have this happen but it did. The entertainment team for this hotel are probably the worst entertainment I have seen. They dont engage with the guests. They would much rather do activities amongst themselves then do anything with the guests who have paid for their holiday and spent a large amount of time either sunbathing or passing ball amongst themselves when it should have been water polo. I just found that they didn't have the right personalty for the job they need to do. The night time entertainment was pretty poor also and think this needs to be addressed also. All staff to this hotel are amazing from the reception staff to bar staff and restaurant staff and managers. A personal thank you from me to Mr Michael for all of your help and just being you and looking after us. Your team are 100% perfect and I loved our little visit to your other hotel I was so grateful for the air con. Keep up the good work everyone. Stayed in Papantonia a week in May 2025. Wanted a peaceful holiday and almost got one. Except terrible karaoke evenings at the pool bar. Really loud music till midnight. No chance to get sleep before the shouting ended. The staff laughed at me when I went to complain.

Spent a week with our family and we all had a fantastic time. Great location, short walks to Protaras and Pernera. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were a good size and cleaned daily. The food was very tasty, there was always something for everyone and that’s including fussy eaters! Great choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner and at the other snack times too. The bar offered a good selection of beer, wine and cocktails using local drinks if you were all inclusive (you pay for premium ones). The staff were all so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure you had the best of times there. The bar staff were especially fantastic, certainly had my fair share of Baileys!

Stayed here last week , not a bad hotel , cleaners cleaned the room daily, food is OK ish , staff was very nice especially the pool bar.. they really looked after us both big thanks to them vuys , evening entertainment is bit poor , great location thow , Hotel manager very helpful, would i stay here again ..Yes 😀
