A farm setting located 8 miles North on State Highway 7 outside of Ortonville, MN next to Big Stone Lake State Park. Since it’s so close to the State Park, it gives perfect access to the center of beautiful Big Stone Lake for either launching your boat or swimming on their public beach. It’s a great place to stay if you want to hunt, fish, watch wildlife, or just get away to relax. The farm setting is also in a great location to host family reunions. We can sleep 7 people. Cute little farm house that meet our needs. Intranet/Wifi was excellent. Loved watching the deer right out the front window. Everything we needed for our stay was available. The outside could use TCL as the property is over grown with weeds which prevented us from sitting outside; other then that we had a nice mini vacation.

This was a great place for my family fishing trip. Easy access to put the boat in at the state park and beautiful landscape to enjoy sitting outside in the evening.

First impression when I pulled up to the house and got out. The trash smelled like dead fish, all weekend long the smell was horrible bad. First night my wife stood up all night till 6am the next day doing the Laundry: bed sheets, blankets, pillow cases for all of the beddings. As there was hair and left over human belongings still on the sheets and blanks. To me this was not washed nor changed for the next people staying. I would not recommend this place. Find a better and cleaner place for stay.

Clean, comfortable, great location Five friends from the Twin Cities really enjoyed our two-night stay during a pheasant hunting trip. The house was spacious and comfortable, great kitchen, and close to town as well as to a lot of public land.

Fishing 3 days This is our fourth time there. The upkeep on the actual property is failing. Very nice place to stay, has all the comfort we need. Hand soap, dish towels, dish soap, and propane. None of that was there. Could be an oversight. We really like the place, just curious if someone else is managing it or it has gone to a corporate management company. The surrounding area is very overgrown. Garage could be cleaned up. It rained, would have been nice to pull the boat in. The deer, pheasants were great. We do miss seeing the chickens. The property is needing attention. We like staying there . Thank you.
