The Radnorshire Arms Hotel

We love this venue, we visit Presteigne on holiday fairly often, and are very fond of the town and this wonderfully historic building. With its quirky beams and panelling it's a proper treat to sit and relax in. We have trie Seth car wry which is plentiful and well cooked (and if you go later in the lunch time there's a chance you'll get plenty of leftover trimmings like pigs in blankets or roasties!) - the carvery is very varied, with three types of roast meat of which you can select two, there was beef, gammon and turkey when we went. Then roasties, yorkies, stuffing, pigs in blankets, cauli cheese, LOVELY mustard mash (the best bit in my opinion) various veg including leeks carrots peas and green beans, gravy, horse radish, bread sauce (!) cranberry sauces etc .they serve the meat and trimmings and you yep yourself to veg and sauces - the veg were a little dry from the lights by the time we sat but that's understandable really . We also had an evening meal from the standard menu - a large portion of lasagne, served with chips and salad for £15 far more reasonable and just as authentic as a much more expensive one from a nearby restaurant!! The soup of the day was delicious and the hunters chicken was huge - looked like two chicken breasts! They serve Robinsons cider here which is a real rare treat too, so try it, and sit in the lovely beer garden (and in inclement weather they have a super wooden gazebo/cabin structure to ait under. Next time we will also try the pizza served in the garden too (desi?) on Saturdays and Sunday.

Enjoyed a great stay at this charming hotel. All staff were welcoming, friendly and provide an excellent service. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely comfy beds in the apartment . Overall great experience Nice friendly staff good quiet location. Food excellent .
