Apartments Týnská 7

One of the worst experiences I've ever had traveling. Avoid at all costs. Storytime: We had communicated that we would be running late for our check-in time. (check-in time was from 2-5 pm. They confirmed that someone would be there to let us in. We arrived at 5:16 pm and no one was there. (Faulty instructions on the owner's behalf - the map said it was two blocks away from the actual location) We rang and rang, reached out via the messaging app, and nothing. Had to book another room for the night and didn't want to go back for our second night. We spoke with the man behind the desk the next morning to ask what had happened and why no one was there to give us the keys to the room. He kept going on about how check-in time was from 2-5, yes, yes we all know and can agree on time. COME TO FIND OUT we were communicating with HIM the whole time. So he knew we were running late, and he then confirmed that there would be someone there and no one was -- then it was excuse after excuse about how he had no idea if we would show up for our reservation for that day so he just left. We had confirmed multiple times with him that we would be coming in that day and that we would be late. To which he had responded "OK" to all communication. When we asked for a refund for one night he gave a line "Oh well, I can't do anything about that you have to go through the website." Every interaction moving forward with him was uncomfortable and overly aggressive on his end. There is no way to get the keys without someone being there to hand them to you. Hopefully, they have gotten a more creative way to leave keys for people traveling there without having to go through the desk. The space was large and clean- however, I won't be seeking out another stay here, especially if it involves guessing if I have a place to stay for the night.

Recommended Apartment Close to the Square Awesome location, right next to the square and felt very secure. Some noise at night from the Irish Bar round the corner but nothing that wasn't to be expected when staying this close to the square. We were able to check in early and when we left we were able to leave our suitcases in the reception until we got our taxi back to the airport. We paid a small fee for this but it was fine and well worth it. The Manager was really friendly and spoke great English and showed us everything detail before leaving us to it. The apartment itself was nice and had everything we needed. The only part that needs work is the bathroom, it's functional and works ok but it could do with some attention. We had an issue on one day with the combo boiler losing pressure and not working but a What's App message to the Manager and it was fixed within an hour so no big issue. I would recommend this apartment if you're looking for somewhere close to the square and with easy and secure access.

Perfect location and fantastic stay. This was my second time using Apartments Tynska, and it won't be the last. Everything is great with this place. The location is fantastic; close to attractions, transit, dining. The apartments are clean, full of amenities, and quiet. The only thing to maybe keep in mind is that there is no elevator, which is not an issue for me, but may be for some. The owner is great, and will do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you again!

Highly recommended! We stayed in the apartment with its own courtyard. Our stay was excellent. The location is great, literally few steps away from old town square, but due to the layout of the building, the apartment was very quiet. It is well equipped and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The host was very helpful, he provided us with useful tips about getting around and currency exchange. We would return again to the apartment, which really felt like home.

These apartments are right on Old Town Square, close to many sites and restaurants. Older building of course and no elevator. I would always trade convenience for comfort. Can be a little noisy especially on weekends. Owner is very helpful.
