Road Lodge Potchefstroom

The staff, food and atmosphere is absolute value for money. Booking is easy, and I was a walk in. For a quick overnight stay this was perfect. The restaurant is really good. And its walking distance from the mall for easy shopping. I won't book with another hotel except Road Lodge in the future.

I have been in a vehicle accident early April 3024 and having paid for my stay much earlier on 1st March 2024, I called last week to confirm my booking and made the hotel aware of my injury. I arrived at the hotel this past Saturday to check in and was limping balancing on a hospital crutch, sadly and despite limping with a support of a hospital crutch, I was directed to a room on the 2nd floor, worse, the room was not what I had selected and paid for, we made Bongani at reception aware of this and managed to sorted the room isdue quickly, but I was subjected yet again to the trauma of having to use the staircases again to the 1st floor. Despite my struggle with the staircases while on crutches, your hotel is clean inside and out and seriously deserves a 5 star rating. Your receptionist Bongani was just as welcoming, but could done better than checking me into a room with a flight of stairs and one I've never selected and moving me into another with stairs again, but overall, he was patient and calm, never gave me a reason to make a noise, instead, I remained calm too. He did what he could at that time. Compared to the other City, Road and Country Lodges I had visited before, your breakfast menu doesn't match up, I paid breakfast R130 p/p for 4 x adults and there wasn't a variety to pick from, neither was there muesli to add to the yogurt, hot meat was only mince and just one flavor of juice, we had to go to Spurs next door for a much cheaper and tastier breakfast.

The kitchen service is terrible the guy the wears black is rude. Gilbert or gilert. He gave me the wrong order of food and when i confronted him he told me that I am wrong, that did’t show any Professionalism at all. However everything in all was perfect.

Excellent stuff, excellent experience

We checked in after 8pm trusting the brand. and opting for it as opposed to 4 star Guesthouses in the area.Having spent the whole day assisting my daughter settle at university,,tired as we were we wanted to watch South Africa 3rd place playoffs in the comfort of our room.The TV in the room wasn’t working, we reported it they came to check and still didn’t work.We were told to go watch it downstairs.We booked and paid for our room and comforts and convenience that comes with it and not for common spaces on this important night for avid soccer fanatics.To think we were torn between going back home and stay over but we chose the latter only to get this.
