Ambelikos Traditional Agrohotel

A beautiful, cosy rural Agrotourism stay! A really lovely rural hotel in the mountains. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, good parking by the room once you navigate the steep well signposted road up from the village. Beds were really comfortable with lovely clean being and so quiet, slept really well. Air conditioning and heating in the room was new and worked really well, very cosy. Nice short walk to the little gorge immediately up the road/track from the hotel. Dinner on the onsite tavern by the fire was lovely as was breakfast. All in all a great stay and good value. Recommended for a stay in the Troodos Mountains!

Het is een gemoedelijk kleinschalig hotel, kamer is groot ook de badkamer, miste wel een kastje of plank om de toilettas op te kunnen zetten, een hemelbed en balkon met mooi uitzicht op het dorp. Je kunt ervoor kiezen om bij te betalen voor airco, dit kost €15 per dag, wel aan te raden in deze periode. Er is een zwembad met een apart gedeelte met ligbedden dit heeft wel wat onderhoud nodig. Als je wat te drinken wilt kun je bellen en komen ze het brengen. Je kunt eten in het hotel dit moet je opgeven voor 17.00 menukaart is niet heel uitgebreid maar het eten is prima. Ontbijt wordt aan tafel geserveerd. Geroosterd brood, bordje met vleeswaren en kaas, jam, gekookt ei je kunt ook roerei krijgen en yoghurt met honing dit is heerlijk echt Griekse yoghurt en honing. De service is goed we kregen bij het zwembad wat vijgen op een bordje uit eigen tuin en na het eten een likeurtje of vijgen. Ik had een rokje laten liggen dit is opgestuurd naar het volgende hotel. Hoefde alleen de verzendkosten te betalen er werd niets extra’s geregeld, was top! Prima hotel voor een paar dagen rust in een mooie omgeving

Very dirty, full of dust and spider webs. Many small insects inside, especially spiders. The room was cold and they didn't have a clean extra blanket. The bed sheets and pillow cases where discusting and they had yellow stains! Very very difficult parking. Very narrow. It barely fit our car. We can't understand why it has good reviews.

I keep on reading the reviews and i still dont understand why this place has good ranking.The food and drinks at the tavern,are very expensive and doesnt worth the price.Neither the quantity neither the quality.Not even 5stars hotels charge you at these prices.The rooms are old,small and not in good condition.and NOT RUSTIC as all the other reviews are saying.We booked a room with the jacuzi and they didnt inform us that in order to use the jacuzi u need to pay extra.Then why pay extra for that room if we cannot use jacuzi??If we had known,we would book the rooms without it.Really it just doesnt worth wasting your money on this accomodation.

Ambelikos is a rustic, tranquil, unsophisticated, friendly, small hotel reflecting the agricultural area within which it is situated. We stayed for 2 nights in room 12. It was large with a long balcony and hillside views. The furnishings are old fashioned, made of dark wood (befitting the building) but functional and adequate. All the basics were covered - clean linen, plentiful hot water, comfortable bed and the modern essential of good wifi. The shower room was fine although the towels could have been a little less rough. The food at breakfast and dinner served in an appealing courtyard was tasty and vegetarian preferences were willingly met. Probably best to advise in advance if any such predilections. The surrounding area is an ideal example of uncommercialised Cyprus. The walk immediately outside the hotel is a paradise of fruit and nuts trees. Such places are few and worth visiting.

Cosy room With a great atmosphere. Very sensitively refurbished old building. Spacious balcony to sit and listen to cicadas in the evening. Very friendly staff. Excellent local meals in the hotel tavern. Wholeover experience was great.
