Hotel Duna

Estábamos dando un paseo por cerca de este hotel a la vez que buscábamos una habitación para quedarnos ese día y quizá volver durante un mes de verano. Está claro que aquí no será ya que estába mi hijo de 3 años paseando por la carretera y se puso en la acera del hotel ( que debe ser donde ponen terraza en verano) a jugar con la pelota y una señora salió a la puerta y de muy malas formas nos echó de allí diciendo que era propiedad privada y que no se podía jugar. Vale que no era lugar para jugar pero tranquila que mi pelota y yo nos vamos a un sitio más amable durante el verano.

We needed a triple room and found it only through Air BnB, not on the website directly. Hotel is located front row at a busy beach, has a little cafeteria. We had picked the hotel partly because it has an own parking, but it turned out that it is rather small not offering space for all guests. We parked where the beach-goers parked. The lady who checked us in didn’t explain much about the hotel, gave us the room key and a plastic wrapped remote control for the TV. Our room was on the 3rd floor, end of the corridor, small (no space to properly open the suitcase), but clean. it had two roof windows, which we kept open to cool it down, but the problem was that the smell of the cafeteria kitchen was clearly coming in. Therefore the tip: try to get a room to the other side of the building. When we checked out we were asked to go up to the room again and bring down the remote control again. We hadn’t been informed that we would have to (I didn’t understand in the first place why front desk would give it to us vs it being tin the room). I mistook it for lack of trust in the guest (I mean, who would actually steal a remote control?), the lady explained that apparently guests packed them out of mistake (really?). While that’s a fair explanation I would have prefered to having been informed at check-in about this process, then I wouldn’t have felt like a potential thief at check-out.
