Portodrach Aparthotel & Suites

Realmente me ha sorprendido. Si bien es cierto que en Mallorca raro es el alojamiento que no sea de calidad, este ha superado mis expectativas. Está situado frente al puerto con orientación este, por lo que ves amanecer por tu ventana. El apartamento tenía todo lo necesario para una agradable estancia: baño privado, cocina con microondas, cama grande y cómoda, un amplio balcón con una mesa, cuatro sillas y dos tumbonas, etc. Tal vez he echado en falta un hervidor de agua y una mejor insonorización de la puerta de entrada al apartamento. El personal muy amable y atento.

Very good hotel. We have been here for the last 4 years. We like this hotel. The room is nice and big. With kitchen (which we never use because of the great restaurants in town). Rooms have a nice terrace and very good and big bathroom. And this (****) hotel is not expensive. Located at the harbor, only 2 minutes walk from restaurants.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was great value for the price. It's within walking distance of some very nice restaurants. We didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant’s dinner menu (we had too little time), but the breakfast was good. The lady working there was also very kind. What I didn’t like: towels were only changed every two days. There was sand on the floor from previous guests, and we even found an empty bottle under the sofa bed — something housekeeping should have noticed.

We booked the Porto Drach apartments via Love Holidays, and selected a standard two bed apartment as we were traveling with my 14 year old daughter and 12 year old son. When we arrived the room configuration was not as expected. Firstly, there’s not a proper balcony. Instead, part of the second bedroom has been sectioned off to create an odd sort of ‘sun room’ which was basically two chairs looking out of an unglazed window over looking the car park. It was very uninviting and more of a cupboard than a balcony. Because of this sectioning off, the second bedroom was incredibly small and only had room for a double bed, which was pushed against the wall to allow you to open the wardrobe door. There was no surface space, even a bedside table. Unfortunately this room was totally unsuitable for our children and so my son ended up sleeping on the sofa. Whilst the configuration was disappointing, the room was well equipped and clean. The hotel itself is in a good location within walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. The pool area was nice, although it’s right next to a dry dock so be prepared for noise. There’s a lifeguard on duty, but as they were sitting tucked behind a wall with no actual view of the pool, don’t rely on them to be saving anyone! In all, the hotel was fine for our short stay but I wouldn’t rush back. And definitely go for an upgraded room if you want a balcony and two proper bedrooms.

Spacious, modern and well equipped apartments in the best location. Make sure you get a marina view apartment cos the road behind the hotel is a little noisy. Take ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival would have been nice. The beds are firm (but we like it that way). Steps everywhere so I wouldn't recommend to the elderly or those with toddlers. They do not provide small toiletries - just liquid hand soap and they don't provide any washing up liquid. The safe is tiny and you have to pay €12 for the key. If you turn left out of the hotel and walk up the steps you're right by the Caves of Drach and the Majiorca store (I bought some pearl earrings). The food and drink in the hotel is good but I do recommend Quince or Fussio just across the marina. The drinks are UK prices so I recommend the Twist bar across the marina.

In a great location overlooking the harbour. Very nice views from our apartment. Close to many restaurants, these apartments are very convenient and only a short walk into town. The pearl factory and Caves of Drach are just round the corner. We had a spacious bathroom and the beds were comfortable. But I found the rooms very small. However I would stay there again. If you are self catering I would say the equipment is a bit sparce. Not enough implements. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed on request. Our apartment had no hanging space for clothes, only drawers
