The room we checked into immediately flooded our noses with the smell of mold and mildew/water damage. We were unable to see because there was no electricity to our room at all. We left while waiting for them to turn it on, but when we returned at least 2 hours later, still no power. Thirty more minutes later, they turned it on to reveal the horrors: live & dead roaches, missing safety latch on room door, missing smoke detector, and mold throughout. We checked out because this was unsafe for my children, ages 3 & 5, who are autistic and would not be safe in a room that does not lock properly. They did waive my cancelation fee upon checkout at that time, but the refund they promised my partner will not be coming. They claim there is nothing they can do for me and my family, so please be warned. Do not book with baymomt by windham unless you're prepared for the worst. We also found a bedbug on our luggage as we were loading into the car. I have pictures of all mentioned (bed bug, missing lock, missing smoke detector, and ventilation roaches), except for the mold in the hallway walls/ceiling because I was trying to get my children out of there at that last point. It also smelled like human feces in the lobby as we were trying to run out of there.
