Club Med Sandpiper Bay

STAY AWAY this place is a joke! You would have a better time at a millers ale house! All the “good reviews” you see are people who were told to do so and they would receive a refund or nights off their stay. No one told us the elevators are out of order no offer to help with bags This guy who works at the front desk Jay, he was useless no help, Said he was new and still learning the inns and outs. Uhhh ok

J’avais lu pas mal de commentaires négatifs avant le départ et j’étais un peu inquiète. Alors oui, le club est essentiellement composé d’une clientèle Américaine qui n’est pas sensibles aux codes du Club, cela peut être un peu plus difficile de sympathiser si on ne parle pas un minimum Anglais et le club est un tantinet vieillissant mais ça n’entache pas le plaisir et le bon temps sur place. Ceux qui comparent les bâtiments à un HLM n’ont jamais dû voir d’HLM de leur vie… Le village est superbe, les couchers de soleil sur la rivière exceptionnels, les espaces et les chambres sont propres et l’équipe de José Luis, Chef de village très présent et bienveillant, est au top. Mention spéciale à Estrella qui a été particulièrement prévenante avec nous. Nous avons apprécié l’équipe Watersports Premium et pu réserver les tours en bateau en mer et sur la rivière (Sean est un très bon pilote et tout le staff est sympathique). On a vu beaucoup d’animaux et on avait l’impression d’être dans un espace sauvage et protégé. Donc oui, ce n’est pas un Club Med classique (j’en ai fait au moins 8 avant celui-ci) mais l’ambiance est bonne et on a passé de très bonnes vacances.

Great place for vacation and play sports. Rooms are very spacious, we were there with my wife and 3 girls. We stayed in close to the water and we were able To enjoy some amazing sunsets and sunrises. The hotel staff was very friendly. We played tennis and Pickelball in our stay

BEWARE this place is a scam! You would have a better time at an Applebees. Rooms are a joke, meals barely any options, dirty and unfinished. Some bald guy that works there told me any good reviews you see are people who had their trip refunded because of how terrible this place is. Go anywhere other than here!!!

If I could write -1 stars I would. My sister was supposed to have a wedding here in Feb 2025. They decided to close down the resort for 6 months starting this December and NEVER TOLD HER. She found out from a guest trying to book. By far the worst communication we have ever dealt with. They are out all the money from the deposits from their vendors. Sandpiper is now IGNORING them. I would never recommend this place to anyone. No one knows what’s was going on. It was hard to even book our room in the first place. You never hear back from them. The place was supposed to have all its construction done by this past may of 2024 which obviously never happened. How could you cancel a wedding THREE MONTHS OUT and not even reach out to the bride. DO NOT COME HERE. You will not be satisfied. They will probably never be done with construction either.

Terrible customer service experience. We booked our vacation in October for 6 at Sandpiper Resort and purchased our airline tickets for Palm Beach. Sandpiper abruptly notified us a month later that they were canceling our reservation. They didn't offer a discount for any future booking, no acknowledgement of the airline cancellation fee that I would be charged. I called Wyndham customer service and was told that Sandpiper was an "independent affiliate" and that Wyndham had no responsibility for any customer service issues related to their resort. Really terrible customer service.
