Quick stopover while travelling. On a rainy night, my fiancé was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff member. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom a little outdated and the pump bottles were empty, however this wouldn’t deter us from staying again. Parking was allocated right outside of our room. A convenient and comfortable place to stay the night.

Spotlessly clean and modern look and feel. Exceptionally friendly service from lady at reception. Perfect overnight stop. Even had coffee, tea, milk and sugar in kitchenette and soap and shampoo. In bathroom. Be sure to buy Fish and chips from shop across the road. Delicious

It's a budget hotel and has a budget price. The bed was comfortable, and the hot water was hot instantly, irrespective of the time of day of a shower. Microwave, cutlery and plates were very much appreciated. The room was very small and there was no place to put a suitcase, so it had to be constantly moved around so that I didn't trip over it. With a small table and two chairs, the room was very cramped. There was nowhere to hang clothes, not one coat hanger or hook in sight and no ironing board or iron (I don't know where these would have fitted). I knew I was booking a budget room but I didn't realise on booking that it would be this small or that the room wouldn't be serviced for the 4 days I was there.

Great value for money. Comfortable bed. Clean basic room. Everything in good condition. We only stayed one night on a road trip. One of the best motels we have stayed in for the price. Close to centre of town and lots of food options. Nice place to stay. Very friendly staff.

This was a very basic but clean motel in the centre of Port Macquarie. The main plus is the price and if all you’re really after is a bed for the night, then this more than does the job. In this respect, it's excellent value. Staff was friendly and helpful and checked to make sure we had plenty of milk, tea and coffee in the room. The room was clean, modern and neat with the all main facilities you’d expect (bar fridge, TV, good wifi, a/c, kettle) but nothing extra. We had off-street parking (although you have to pay a little more for this). It was a bit further from the beach than I realised but was still only 10 - 12 minutes walk from Town Beach.

A friendly, smiling welcome was our first positive impression. The room was spacious and very clean. The motel is a few blocks to the river and the beach and an easy walk to the Bowling Club and it was quiet. Highly recommend for an overnight stay.

Modern, clean rooms at a reasonable price. The Surf is an excellent motel. Comfortable beds, good bathroom and great shower. Thought has gone into the design of the rooms making the motel a pleasant place to stay for a few nights if required. The motel is a short drive or a 15/20 minute walk into town. Checking in was a bit more work compared to some motels, but considering the condition of the motel I can understand why they would want to protect the property

We stayed here one night driving from Gold Coast to Sydney. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi was good The location of the motel was not the greatest and the building itself wasn’t to nice. Our refrigerator in our room didn’t work but the manager was nice and brought some ice cubes for us. The motel had a big parking area but to our surprise we had to park on the street, because of our booking type. A little confusing when *********** said we had parking and the parking lot had a lot of empty spaces We also have to mention that this was a very cheap accommodation, so you can’t expect that everything is perfect Overall we thought it was ok at this price point
