Sugarapple Inn

Stayed for 5 nights in January. Lovely location on the south side of the island with views over Friendship Bay. Staff are very friendly and we loved the apartment which was very spacious and included a large veranda which also included a kitchen. Lovely grounds with a small swimming pool ideal to relax in. They provide a simple breakfast of tea / coffee, bread and cakes. You can order other items but at a cost. There are many couples staying there who have been coming for many years. Many also stay for many weeks which probably says it all. It’s a 45 minute walk to Port Elizabeth via Princess Margaret Beach and the Belmont Walkway. Some hills on the way! Bequia is a beautiful Grenadine island and one that has a fair amount of upmarket tourism. It’s a very walkable island with a large number of restaurants / bars most of which are close to Port Elizabeth. It was nice to be located on the quieter side of the island but also being able to get to where more of the action was if needed. Short walk to the quiet beach at Friendship Bay through the neighbouring hotel. Would definitely recommend and hope to return some day.

Quite Enjoyable Nice calm , relaxing spot , enjoyed , although I would advise staff to make sure everything in rooms are working as they should such as electronics

The grounds and garden are very nice. The staff is super friendly, excellent customer service and very helpful. It's a quick walk to Friendship Bay beach and Bequia Beach Hotel via a path through the backyard gardens. Beautiful views of Friendship Bay from the hotel.

I love Sugarapple inn it ain’t perfect but it’s affordable and comfortable.

Best place on the island 🏝 Absolutely LOVE this place and will definitely be back! Let me start off by saying that the staff are absolutely fantastic! By the end of my stay, I felt like I was staying with family. The ladies in the office were extremely friendly and pleasant. Checking in and out was simple and quick. The ladies were always quick to answer any questions and assist with taxi service or trips. Extremely welcoming 🙏 They have housekeeping once a day. The housekeeping did an amazing job and went above and beyond 👏 I actually had great conversations with them and they made me feel comfortable and at home. Breakfast is included which is usually coffee, tea and an assortment of breads. The woman in charge of breakfast was also very friendly. There is a small pool which was very refreshing. A short 5-10 min stroll to the beach, which I pretty much had to myself! A short stroll down the beach is The SandBar. A beach bar that has swings and obviously drinks & food. Lorincia is a fabulous bartender there, she'll make you feel like family! A total of 8 units, so a nice uncrowded atmosphere. Stove, refrigerator, table and chairs for self catering. Beach towels and beach chairs were provided. Air conditioning in the sleeping area. I never used the ac as the breeze was perfect at night with the shutters open. Mosquito netting provided (mosquitos actually weren't bad). Hot showers! If you have mobility issues you may want to know that this property is located on a hill and there are steps involved.
