Niramaya Villas and Spa

Two adults and one teen had a very relaxing week here at niramaya. The staff are very friendly and nothing was a bother. We loved finishing the day out from visiting with a swim in the our own private pool. Even after dinner when it was still very warm it was a welcome treat. Lot of bird life and frogs who call this place home. My husband had a massage at the spa and was very relaxed after. Thankyou for hosting us and can't wait to come back.

Don't go past this amazing resort. What you see online is what you get and more. From the amazing layout of the apartment with your own private pool... to the lush gardens..cool restaurant and bar with main pool area to the amazing staff..(special mention to Josh and Juliette) this is the only place to stay in Port Douglas ! What an incredible place to relax in, if you truly value quiet, beauty and peace this is the place to visit. Gorgeous villas, gardens and staff make this a really wonderful place to be. You are greeted by very friendly reception crew, the grounds are beautifully kept, the restaurant is welcoming, food delicious and staff cheery and helpful. The villas are amazing, private well equipped and truly special. Just a small drive out of the main buzz, but close enough to everything you need to see and do in Port Douglas, this place is one of our most enjoyable and must come back places to stay!

Beautiful resort. Villas are amazing. We went to Port Douglas for our 25 year wedding anniversary. Resort was close to everything - main street restaurants and shops just 5 min drive away so we hopped in our car most nights and went out to beautiful restaurants. Highly recommend Salsa and Malaleuca (a bit fancier and pricier but food is exceptional), Irish Pub nice too. Niramayah is worth every penny. Our villa was amazing - clean, modern and had every conceivable thing you need - kitchen fully stocked, coffee pod machine, washing machine/dryer, beach towels, beautiful shampoo/conditioner/body wash. We didn't cook whilst we were there but if you wanted to everything is there that you need. We had our own beautiful pool which meant we didn't need to leave our villa to go to the main pool area. We loved the privacy. Grounds are meticulous and beautiful. We had a small gift waiting in the fridge on arrival from the resort for our anniversary which was lovely too. Friends had also organised through the resort to have champagne and a cheese/meat platter waiting for us. Resort staff are very helpful and go out of their way. We had breaky at the resort which was nice and I had a massage at the day spa which was amazing. Can't recommend this place more. As the saying goes 'you get what you pay for' so definitely worth the money. Would stay there again if I returned to PD.

Great resort that has not spent the needed funds to maintain. Room furniture is spotted and about 7 years past replacement. Sheets and floors clean but upper level items, like ceiling fans had at least a year if not several years of dirt on them. Locks to villa were broken and at one point could not get out of villa. Great team follow through but owner wants to sell but not spending needed funds to maintain. Dinning was good but very fish focused and again dining room furniture needs new stuff as is well worn. Team was nice but limited to budget. No assistance after 7:30 as team leaves until morning, so no one there to help. Unfortunately this place is meeting its demise with an owner group that will not maintain as required. Suggest look for cleaner alternatives.

Our stay at Niramaya Villas far exceeding our expectation. The staff were friendly, polite and professional and were very helpful. The villa was beautifully decorated and appointed, much larger than we anticipated and had everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful. The plunge pool was incredible - the perfect temperature and also very private. We loved the birdlife, the surrounding grounds and the sunsets. We didn't want to leave. We highly recommend Niramaya and will definitely be returning.
