This place is simply a gem! And made our stay a very special one. Top location (yes, do need the car to there but it's part of its charm and beauty) The sense of quietness among those trees and that powerfull view and nature,,,wow! Ana and Celia were simply the best and kindest hosts to orient our days giving us useful tips, We had a magical stay! Thank you Ana, Celia, and Carlos who built asuch a special place to stay in Pico

Casas de Incensos was a great place for a couples trip to Pico. The rooms are nice, the views are fantastic, pool is relaxing and staff is so friendly. Ana was a pleasure to talk to each morning while we ate breakfast on the patio overlooking the ocean. It was nice to get away from a big city and just enjoy the solitude by ourselves. Would stay here again and recommend to all of my friends.

Wat een fantastische plek en nog fantastischere mensen! In een woord geweldig! Wij zijn al op veel plekken geweest, maar dit overtrof onze verwachtingen! Uitzicht op de oceaan vanaf je terras. Geweldige huisje met mooie inrichting en oog voor detail. Fijn beddengoed en fluffy handdoeken. Ana is een geweldige gastvrouw!! Geen enkele moeite is haar teveel. Allerlei tips over het eiland, goede restaurants aanbevolen. Mooie verhalen over de historie van de accommodaties. In de baai waar je uitzicht op hebt zwemmen dolfijnen. Er is een klein zwembad voor rust aan het einde van je dag. Ontbijt is niet gebonden aan tijden. Waar jij blij van wordt daar wordt het personeel hier ook blij van. Bij aankomst drankjes, kaas en pittige chilijam. Toostjes en koekjes. Zoek niet verder naar een accommodatie want dit is the place to be! Thanks Ana for everything. You are doing the best job!

I had a lovely couple of nights here, with Ana's warm welcome! The drive down from the main road seems a bit daunting but it's totally doable even with my automatic car (a bit tight, don't get a giant vehicle!). Tip: don't trust Google Maps, it will not take you to the right place! Get directions ahead of time. The buildings and gardens are gorgeous, everything smells amazing, like being in a jungle. The service is wonderful (they even snuck into my room during breakfast and cleaned/made the beds). Breakfast was quite a spread, including fresh local cheese, breads, and Ana's homemade pepper jam. Wifi worked fine. The bathroom and shower were nice, and I enjoyed the upstairs couch sitting area (with a mini fridge, which included a bottle of wine & some local cheese). I would come back in a heartbeat! The location is not super central, so if you're looking for convenience then stay in Madalena (which I found to be...just okay). If you want something unique and local-feeling, this is the place for you! It's a beautiful and historically-accurate property. Be advised, the cabins don't have A/C (though I think she's looking into adding in the future; there was a fan!) and the view and pool aren't really the main draw here--it's the total experience!

If you survive the steep and slant road down to the „Houses of the Incense Burners“ you reach a wonderful place. Houses built of lavastone with red shutters and a lush garden. A great view on a bay with dolphins, delicious breakfast and a great team - in the first line Anna. Quiet and somewhat "lonely" with lots of lizzards, birds and flowering plants. And the Master of desaster: Mr. Grey the one-eyed cat. If you wish you can go to the pool that belongs to the casas. But We reconmend to drive to a Piscina Natural!

Espaço bastante agradável com uma vista deslumbrante. Aconselho sem dúvida a quem queira visitar a ilha do Pico a ficar aqui hospedado, De destacar a simpatia do anfitrião, e das sras que nos receberam no pequeno almoço muito simpáticas e atenciosas. A decoração dos quartos é 5* bastante acolhedor, a zona piscina tem uma vista magnífica, para os amantes de natureza este é o local ideal.
