Our 1st day here & so far we are enjoying it so much. I mentioned at reception that we were here to celebrate my husband’s birthday & few hours later a bottle of bubbly was delivered to our room. So unexpected but yet so thoughtful. My husband loved it! I didn’t get the receptionist name but he was German and an absolute gem! He upgraded us to a sea view room which is extremely beautiful. Food is not bad, granted we are used to bigger varieties but can’t complain. We are not big eaters. Oh I had the indoor pool all to myself today, which is very rare!

Nos gusta de siempre visitar los PlayaHoteles desde nuestra primera visita hace un par de años al Playa Capricho. Centrándonos en el PlayaDulce valoramos como positivo el Delfi Club aunque inferior al PlayaCalida, las piscinas muy bien su mantenimiento, la climatizada el primer día estaba un pelín guarra pero luego mejoró su aspecto. La ubicación muy buena con acceso directo al paseo marítimo y vida diurna y nocturna, con abundante aparcamiento por los alrededores. Las habitaciones son antiguas pero todo funcionaba correctamente y el sistema de limpieza era amable y eficiente. Nuestra vista al mar daba directa a una grúa de obra y bajo la pirámide de la recepción, sin excesivos ruidos pero sin duda no nos facilitaron la mejor orientación, ni habitación. Flojo el buffet de las cenas, poca variedad, cocina en vivo sencilla y de calidad justa, echamos en falta más platos estrella y cenas temáticas como en PlayaCapricho. Como punto a favor la media pensión plus que incluye bebidas de autoservicio. El desayuno me parece más completo sin estridencias. La animación flojisima, la buena gente del Delfi Club hace lo que puede Bingo, Karaoke, quizz etc apenas actuaciones externas de música en vivo o magia. El check out fue un pelín brusco, no puedes tratar de diferente forma a los huéspedes. Aguadulce, su clima, su entorno, sus negocios cercanos (farmacia , peluquería) y su gente da un plus a todo el complejo hotelero. Nuestro top de Playa Hoteles sería el siguiente: 1- PlayaCalida (Almuñécar) 2- PlayaCapricho (Roquetas) 3- Playa Ballena (Rota) 3- Playa Dulce (Aguadulce)

Soy cliente habitual del hotel desde hace mucho y he opinado sobre el mismo en esta web varias veces; la última a razón de nuestra estancia en la Navidad de 2024 respecto a la cual refería que durante los últimos años había ido bajando muchísimo la variedad de la comida y aunque sigue siendo comida casera elaborada en las cocinas del propio hotel, el buffet tienen muy poca variedad y es tremendamente repetitivo, lo cual pusimos en conocimiento tanto de la gerencia del hotel como de la dirección de la cadena. Bien, pues hemos vuelto la semana previa a semana santa y se ha producido un cambio notable en el buffet, casi recuperando la calidad y variedad de antaño (puede que tuviera que ver con la gran ocupación en esa fecha), por lo que ahora si recomendaría usar ese servicio del hotel. por lo demás, decir que es un hotel bien situado, en una zona tranquila, en primera línea de playa y con salida directa a la misma. Tiene, además de las piscinas exteriores, piscina climatizada y solárium, ambos de acceso libre. No todas las habitaciones están renovadas pero son amplias, cómodas y las camas cuentan con colchones bastantes cómodos. Además decir que, si hay algo que distingue a la cadena y que sin duda se mantiene es la excepcional atención por parte de todo el personal del hotel. Un apunte, debieran de controlar el acceso de niños pequeños al jacuzzi exterior ya que lo usan a modo de piscina infantil, en vez de la destinada para ellos, impidiendo su uso a los adultos

We stayed in the Western-style room with bunk beds, which the kids absolutely loved! It was a fun feature for them. However, the room itself had a few issues that made the stay uncomfortable. The fan control was broken, so we couldn’t adjust the speed, and the air conditioning was very dated and barely worked. It was so ineffective that some guests resorted to leaving their room and balcony doors open just to get proper airflow and ventilation. Not to mention no kettles in the rooms you make a tea! Another issue we noticed was with the water. Both the taps and showers would initially run discoloured water - it took a minute or so before it cleared enough to use. We didn’t report this to the hotel, as we we saw plumbing in and out of different rooms with it making no difference and assumed it was just due to the building being older, but it was still a bit off-putting. Before booking, I contacted the hotel through WhatsApp to check if the outdoor pool would be open. They advised it wouldn’t be, which was fine, but unfortunately, the indoor pool wasn’t much better. It was extremely warm and had poor ventilation, making it uncomfortable to use for extended periods. The overall feel of the hotel was quite dated and in need of some refurbishment. On the positive side, the staff were lovely - very friendly and hardworking. Breakfast was one of the highlights, especially thanks to the chef who made omelettes and pancakes fresh each morning. He was great with the kids and always had a smile. Dinner, on the other hand, was repetitive with limited variety night after night. They even served us RAW chicken the first night! Service was often slow, which seemed to be due to the hotel being understaffed, especially during peak times. Lastly this is a non smoking hotel but despite this, guests were freely smoking around the grounds!
