Grand Hotel d'Europe

I really liked the simple large room with a large bathroom. The five course lunch that we had was excellent and very tasty. It had a French influence to it. The breakfast buffet was simple and minimal. The hotel has a swimming pool, which we did not have time to use.

Very beautiful building and rooms with very relaxed setting for getaways and family stays. Guga gave me a warm welcome and was very humble for the entire stay. There are beaches, cafes, restrobars, roof top cafe all near by this hotel. Perfect location if you need to stay and visit most places here in Pondy.

Good service, great rooms and Rajesh really took care of us. Would recommend and return again. The food selection was good and they had a full bar. Rooms are spacious and the staff is attentive according to the customers needs. The breakfast could improve and they lack a good cup of coffee but other than that very pleasant

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, with me and my wife. Good ambience, friendly and helpful staff. Seemed like a pretty and quiet place for a relaxing holiday stay. Location is also fairly central, close to the beach and eateries. Hotel was clean and well maintained

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location in White Town. Everything is very accessible from here. Rooms are very comfortable and the staff are super friendly. A breakfast buffet is included and I recommend enjoying it in the peaceful courtyard.

The location is convenient and central in the white town. The first impression was very cold, in every sense of the word. In the common areas of the hotel (restaurant, bar and reception) there is an absolutely unbearable air conditioning and even the furnishings are cold and sad. It should be a heritage hotel, but it failed to create the right atmosphere. The rooms are on 3 floors, spacious, clean, very basic and with little atmosphere. The bathroom is spacious, clean, and functional (there are no points of support for beauty) but ours had a window on a dark cave where it drains the water and the fan working randomly. Air conditioning in the room noisy and not adjustable and even the fan above the bed not adjustable. So at night very hot and humid (or alternatively a noisy freezer). The pool is small and well maintained, but not very usable because it is always in the shade. In theory there should be a rooftop restaurant open in the evening, but these days it was closed. The breakfast was horrible. Little variety and everything seems very stale. Indolent and unavailable staff. To have a coffee for breakfast you have to ask for it three or four times and you expect it at least half an hour. The reception staff is often not present and if they see you with your luggage they quickly evaporate so as not to help you. Absolutely not recommended.
