We stayed at the Souli Beach from 6th - 20th July as a family of three. We arrived after midnight and the owner greeted us warmly with a glass of wine which was gratefully received after a long journey. We had a beautiful sea view room on the top floor. The room was cleaned daily, with clean towels. We paid extra for the air conditioning which was very welcome in the July heat. The hotel is very small and friendly and family run, which makes a very welcome change from the huge and soulless all inclusive hotels we have visited in the past. The owners actually care about their guests and get to know you which is lovely. We had breakfast included and it was a mixture of hot and continental. The restaurant is simply exceptional. Positioned right by the sea, the food is just beautiful with huge portions. As a hotel guest, you have the option of a €24 three course meal which is such good value for the quantity and quality of food you get. You can also choose off the a la carte menu which we did sometimes as the hotel specialises in seafood. The waiters are fantastic, so friendly and always helpful. They work such long hours in the fierce heat and yet always smile. A special shout out to Pambos, Andreas x 2 and George. You made our holiday so special, and thank you again for the birthday cake! The beach is stony, so take sea shoes, but the sea is warm, so warm! Latchi is about a 10 minutes walk away with a variety of restaurants and shops. We especially recommend Da Vinci ice cream and Yialos restaurant (second on the left after the hotel). We hired a car for 4 days, effortlessly arranged by Liz, one of the owners. To summarise, we loved the Souli Beach so much we have already booked for next year. If you are looking for a big, loud hotel with tasteless food, nameless staff and banal entertainment, then stay away. If, on the other hand, you’re seeking a quiet, family run and traditional hotel with fantastic staff and exceptional food then book now.
