I could count this as the worst hotel experience of my life. We had booked this hotel months before our planned travel date, as we got a really nice deal from the owner, and the location and photos were quite enticing. Little did we know we're inviting the worst experience. We were travelling from Butwal to Pokhara, and had informed the hotel reception desk that we'd reach by 6PM. As the road conditions were bad, we finally reached the hotel at 10PM. We told the staff that we have 4 rooms booked. The staff informed us as we were late, he gave our rooms to other travellers. We got furious and confronted him that how could they rent the already booked rooms. The staff then changed his reason that we had booked at an incorrect price and that was the mistake of the owner. We told him that's not our problem. We had blocked 4 rooms months back and now you're telling us we can get the rooms? After wasting several minutes explaining them, the staff agreed that they could give us 2 rooms today, and arrange for 2 rooms at a similar hotel nearby. We agreed to it as it was quite late, we were hungry, and we had a kid in the group. The staff showed us couple of hotels which were disgusting. We told him that we would arrange 2 rooms ourselves, and give us the 2 rooms at their hotel. The staff gave us the smelliest and dingiest rooms possible. We're sure it was servant's quarter. We didn't have energy to fight more, so we crashed for the night. Later in the morning, the staff again went against his promise and told us that he can't give 2 more rooms today as they don't have the availability. We were done with this rude and pathetic behaviour and just stormed out of the hotel looking for other options. There are several better options just on the same street like Mirano, Garuda Inn. We finally checked in at Hotel Mala, where the staff were incredibly helpful. I'd request every booking portal to block this hotel so that other travellers don't have to go through what we went through.
