Olema House at Point Reyes

Beautiful property and room, little touches like s'mores (which we unfortunately missed due to late night arrival) and a bottle of wine in our room were so nice. We arrived late at night, and Mel greeted us warmly and made us feel so welcome! Would definitely love to come back. We only had one night since we were passing through.

The manger at this hotel is terrible. She was rude and unhelpful. I chose a specific room (with a large arching windows and a window seat) as advertised online and was then given a shabby room next door with dreary grey walls and poor light. I asked the manager to move me to the room I paid for and she refused, said they were fully booked, said she had to go and hung up on me! I checked online and there were openings. Each day I watched new people check into my room next door from my balcony.

This place is awesome. So peaceful and relaxing. It's a great place to unwind and chill. The room was excellent. The food at the tavern is top notch. The Marshal Store (just up the road) oysters are tremendous.

Olema House is a well thought out boutique hotel accessing the Point Reyes National Park. It was thoughtfully designed with large rooms, high ceilings, jacuzzi tub, and plush bedding. A bottle of wine is included. They even surprised us with a bottle of champagne on ice with champagne glasses to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The grounds are lush and beautiful typical of the area and expansive enough to make you feel like you can roam around a little bit. The fire pit and the adirondaeck chairs are great for hanging out sipping wine. In the evening they even provide all the fixings for S'mores. The restaurant and store next door which are part of the property are great amenities. You can load up on supplies so when you're out in the remote parts of the park you can enjoy a beautiful picnic.

Great hotel with very friendly staff! Everything you need was provided for, very thoughtful touches. Restaurant next door was delicious. We will be back!

What a peaceful place! If you are looking to truly get away, this is it. We brought our dogs to avoid fireworks, and we didn’t even hear sound from the adjacent rooms. Plus, the hotel is situated on a large yard along a creek. There is plenty of space and places to relax, with a delicious restaurant and convenient market right next door! The room we had did not have a TV, but it had a large window overlooking the creek. The staff were all very friendly, and the room came with complimentary wine and s’mores supplies for the backyard fire pit. Real talk: we had the Creek View King, and while there was plenty of space, there are some things to be aware of. There is no tv, and there is no table to eat at. There are two side chairs, but not a lot of surface area, even in the bathroom. There is a nice bar area and a mini fridge, and a hot water kettle but no coffeemaker. The bathroom is enclosed by a slider door, so mostly private but not 100% sealed.
