TownePlace Suites Pocatello

Spent a few nights here on a road trip through Idaho recently. Room looked older, but the accommodations were comfortable. Having the two bedrooms was such a critical factor in why we chose this location, and they did not disappoint. Good hot water in the bath and shower, and living area was smaller than others, but still nice. Breakfast was basic, but our toddler son enjoyed it, always a plus. Pool room was steamy, which is probably a plus in the winter, but a bit warm for summertime. Would return if we're in the area.

Stayed here for one weekend night. Front desk clerk was friendly and offered terrific recommendations for dinner out. We stayed in a basic room and appreciated the space as well as the kitchenette. Bed slept fine and hotel is just far enough from the interstate that you don’t hear highway noise. Only drawback was our room was close to the stairs and you could hear when kids were running up and down them into the evening. Would still stay here again.

We stayed here while on a Caravan tour. The rooms are very nice although, the building is wood which made it very noisy. We could hear the people up above running around in the room. We thought about complaining but we were only staying one night which made it bearable. The breakfast is very nice, better than the average free breakfast. The surrounding area is walkable with restaurants near by.

Below Marriott standard... hotel is dated, furniture well worn, badly in need of investment & a remodel. Front desk had friendly service & the place itself was very clean. Breakfast was bleh. Cool "omletes", room temp eggs & sausage, out of regular cream cheese, strawberry only, & trash cans were overflowing. Lastly, they charge $3 for "garage parking" although there isn't a garage, it's not listed when reserved, & other similar Marriotts don't have this deceptive charge. Overall disappointed.

Went for a bball tournament and this was a great hotel to stay at. The rooms were big so our daughter could have her teammates over to hang out before and after games. The breakfast was good for hotel fair. The pool was well maintained and everyone had a good time playing in it and soaking in the hot tub. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

This past week I brought our tour group into Pocatello for an overnight stay. It was my first time there as a Tour Director so naturally I was looking to see how the many aspects of our visit would be handled. The pre-arrival contact with Shauna was tremendously helpful, with her assuring me the group would be treated first-rate upon arrival while also offering many suggestions regarding their local dinner choices. Moments after pulling-in our bags were unloaded and taken to the guest's room in lightning fashion, the four ladies (managed by Rosemary) were friendly and efficient. Our passenger's keypacks were labelled and ready to go making for a super-smooth check-in, which we sorely needed after a long day on the road. Shauna had asked that I get a count of our passengers looking to get dinner at the two local establishments (Jakers and Cafe Tuscano) so she could alert those staffs, which made my day easier! The complimentary breakfast was ready to go at 6 AM and included a good selection for our passengers to select from before our departure for Salt Lake City. Our luggage was collected by the morning luggage crew for an on-time departure. If Shauna and her crew couple can so easily handle our group of 41, imagine what they can do for the individual travelers or couples. I look forward to two more visits with new passengers in the next couple of weeks. Overall, we had a 5-star stay in Pocatello!

There were 4 adults for our one night stay here on our trip through Pocatello. The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was fantastic. It was a 2 bedroom queen suite and we could not have been happier. Lots of space, the kitchenette was great. The beds were so comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable. Nice! Great location. So why not 5 stars? I really felt I had to deduct one star for the breakfast. It was truly horrible. There were fried eggs, omelets, and sausage patties. It sounded great but it was not. The fried eggs and sausage were cold The omelets barely warm. The sausage was gray!!! Giving up on the eggs and sausage, we decided to try the oatmeal. It was better, but very wattery. We finally gave up and grabbed a packaged muffin and milk. I suggest the hotel buy a little griddle and put those sausage patties on it for a minute or two to btown and heat them up a bit. Overall, however, a very nice stay made nicer by the friendly staff and clean room.

Good location up on a hill overlooking the town. Plenty of parking. Nice staff. Not the newest property but it was clean and nice. The room was HUGE. Thank you for the suite upgrade! Walkable to several food options and quick drive to downtown. Perfect stop on our road trip.
