As with all Premier Inns, you pretty much know what you are going to get. The staff at this one were in general quite lovely. I was staying solo due to having a Covid infection, and being unable to isolate in the shoebox house we were staying in, with my elderly mother in law who is vulnerable to infection. The bed was great, the restaurant did a good job and I was getting regular food parcels from family. A fridge would have been handy, but I managed with a plug in camping esky. They gave me a quiet room. I will say that the cleanliness of this Premier Inn was just passable…there was a grimy edge to the bathroom Lino where the mopping was obviously missed on most occasions, skirting boards were dusty and their was a fair bit of mould surrounding the bath. I am trying not to be too harsh…it isn’t often anyone spends so much time actually in a hotel room, so I supposed I noticed a bit more than usual. I asked for my room to be serviced midway through my stay, and I was disappointed that whilst they had been in and given me fresh towels and bed linen, they left the bin, which was really full, and didn’t vacuum. The reception staff dealt with the bin for me and apologised, but nonetheless, it shouldn’t have happened. Would I stay here again? Not sure. I chose it because it was the closest hotel to home, so it served a purpose, but I might have gone for something a little more up market had I not been in such a rush to get away from family.
