"Cute small hotel with 8 rooms in the middle of old Plovdiv. Excellent location, warm friendly and attentive staff. Welcome drinks including home made lemonade on arrival. Complimentary wine and cheese in the evenings. Note this is a small original house with no lift so luggage needs to be taken up the stairs. Very large and clean rooms. Charming and convivial reception/breakfast area Would stay again!"

"Hotelli oli kaunis marmori koko ja paljon luonnetta. Olen matkustanut maailmassa 6 kuukautta ja tämä on kaunein huone, jonka olen koskaan ollut missään maassa. Se on vanhan kaupungin keskustassa helppo kävely kiinnostavilla paikkoja ja silti se on hyvin hiljaa. Omistajat olivat ystävällisiä ja apua ja ruoka oli erittäin hyvä. Korkeasti suositella tätä hotellia kaikille."

"Difficult to find in a vehicle with no helpful instructions from the hotel . Parking was 20 levs a night in a derelict site . Poor welcome from reception . No restaurant , no bar . The courtyard is in deep disrepair and unavailable for sitting outside . Breakfast was cold fried eggs and other choices very poor . Surly service . Basically it’s a very poor Bed & Breakfast . Disappointed because 7 years ago it was a completely different place which is why we returned ."

Hotel Jägerhof

"I have visited 44 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels, and I can honestly say that Hotel Jägerhof Plovdiv gave me the worst experience I’ve ever had. What makes it even more disappointing is that I have stayed here multiple times before and even recommended this hotel to several large companies that later held their events and venues here. I genuinely believed in their service — but after this last visit, I completely changed my opinion. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the staff refused to let me park my car or even enter the hotel just because I arrived before 3 PM. Their behavior was cold, rude, and absolutely inflexible. I was told that I am not considered a guest until 3 PM, even though my booking was valid. I was left standing outside, not allowed to park or wait inside. To make matters worse, when I expressed my disappointment, the staff suggested that I look for another hotel if I didn’t like their policy. That’s not hospitality — that’s arrogance. My advice to anyone considering this hotel: 🚫 Do not arrive early, because you won’t be allowed to enter or park your car before 3 PM. 🚫 If you are a foreign visitor, do not rent a car or drive here, as you will be left outside with nowhere to wait until check-in time. After so many positive experiences in hotels worldwide, this was by far the most unprofessional and unfriendly treatment I have ever received — especially disappointing from a place I once supported and recommended."
