B&B Villa Sumrak Plitvica

Nice host with excellent English. Clean and spacious room. Free parking and good home made breakfast. Perfect way to experience the environment

This was a delightful choice for our one night stay in the Lake Plitvice area. It does seem like a long drive to reach the B&B on a narrow, winding, mountainous road and it is at the very end of the road. But we enjoyed the seclusion and peaceful atmosphere it provided. Mat greeted us as we arrived and parked, explained all we needed to know and got us settled in our very comfortable, modern accommodations. I believe the room we booked was described as mountain view but I didn't see that connection. We had received a text in the morning providing the dinner menu for the day and the communication about that was immediate. We met Mat's dad who was the barbeque chef and he was very pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed our dinner and the service was very nice. Mat explains about the wines they make and offer. We had a quiet and restful night and the breakfast was bountiful - offering eggs cooked to order along with the many other offerings. It is a real advantage to stay in the Plitvice Selo area as it includes a very lightly used back entrance to the parks. There is limited parking but a short downhill walk to the boat dock where you would be advised to catch one of the first boats to avoid a wait. Mat was very helpful in guiding us to this entrance and in explaining the best approach to the parks. But the very best part was the viewpoint of the parks that Mat directed us to as we departed. There is a path that takes you to an overlook of the lower lakes that is a better viewpoint than any inside the parks. It was absolutely spectacular and you will not see it if you enter the parks any other way. We have wonderful memories of our day there.

Stanze bellissime, molto pulite, aria condizionata ben funzionante. Ampio bagno con finestra. C'è una sala comune molto accogliente per gli ospiti, sdraio e dondolo a disposizione nel giardino e la possibilità di usufruire della colazione e della cena in un patio bellissimo. La sera silenzio assoluto, si sentivano.solo i grilli. Marko e Matjias sono stati molto accoglienti, simpatici e gentili e ci hanno dato utili indicazioni sulla nostra visita ai meravigliosi Laghi. Marko parla anche molto bene l'italiano, Matjias ci ha suggerito ottimi vini croati. Colazione un po' cara ma eccezionale, ottima cena (barbecue con cottura eccellente), ne abbiamo usufruito in entrambi i giorni di permanenza. Posizione perfetta per accedere ai laghi dall'ingresso 3, per nulla affollato anche nei giorni di ferragosto con qualsiasi biglietto (ingresso 1 o 2). Ci sono anche gli appartamenti. Il paesino non ha nulla, né un bancomat, né un bar né un piccolo supermercato ma a pochi chilometri c'è tutto. Dopo la visita ai laghi comunque avevamo necessità solo di riposo e la struttura è stata perfetta. Speriamo di tornare per vedere i Laghi in diverse stagioni.

We found this amazing B&B when passing through Plitvice lake. We did not make any bookings but hosts offered us a lovely family apartment as we reached their property late evening. Maja, Marko and Miro are amazing hosts, very kind, professional, supportive. They gave us recommendations regarding national park visit, as well as went above and beyond to ensure our family has lovely stay. They accommodated our two kids during the breakfast time, as both have food allergy. The place has great location, walking distance to the lake, very clean, comfortable and nice surroundings. There are couple of nice restaurants nearby as well as they offer simple food at the property. Great Service, thank you so much!

We were welcomed by Maia, the hostess. Our room was spacious. We had all toiletries included, plenty of towels and the whitest bed sheets. Beds were very comfortable. Although we could not serve dinner there, since our kids are really picky, the host recommended a restaurant in the area. However they served us a delicious breakfast- w homemade cookies, jams and fresh veggies & fruits. The info provided regarding the Plitvice park were very useful, made our trip much easier.

Great place with super hosts. We did last minute reservation yesterday afternoon and the host welcomed us early night. Very good rooms, nice atmosphere, delicious breakfast. Nice place in the Plitvice park, across the lakes in something like an ethno village. Unofficial Entrance 3 to the park nearby. Highly recommended if you wish to enjoy the area.

Die Villa Sumrak ist ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die gepflegte Gastfreundschaft schätzen und die berühmten Plitwitzer Seen auf etwas exklusivere Art und Weise kennen lernen möchten. Im Gegensatz den völlig überlaufenen Haupteingängen liegt die Villa Sumrak oberhalb der Wasserfälle, mit dem inzwischen wieder halbinoffiziellen Eingang 3 zum Park in fußläufiger Nähe (10-15 Minuten). Hier kann man problemlos mit allen Online-Tickets auch für Eingang 1 oder 2 passieren und ist in kürzester Zeit an der Anlegestelle für das Boot. Von hier aus hat Gastgeber Miro einen tollen Rundweg durch den Park zusammengestellt, der einen - immer entgegen dem Strom der Menge - zu den schönsten Punkten des Nationalparks führt. Aber auch am Anreisetag, wenn man vielleicht noch keine Tickets für den Park vorgebucht hat, kommt man bereits auf seine Kosten: Außerhalb des Parks gibt es von der Villa Sumrak aus ebenfalls schon spektakuläre Locations zu erreichen: So hat uns Miro zum Beispiel zu dem fantastischen Aussichtspunkt an der alten Mühle am großen Wasserfall gelotst, zu dem die normalen Parkbesucher oft nicht finden. Zur tollen Ausgangslage kommt die Gastfreundschaft: Bei einem Glas Wein wird die Route gemütlich an der Villa Sumrak auf der hübschen Terrasse besprochen - und los geht's! Gegen Aufpreis gibt es Frühstück und Abendessen. Vor allem die Dinner-Mahlzeiten haben uns wirklich begeistert! Stundenlang im Dutch Oven gegartes Kalb, Steinpilz-Risotto für die Vegetarier, frischen Schoko-Kuchen zum Nachtisch - das Essen war schmackhaft und Erlebnis zugleich.

Belle villa à quelques encablures de l'entrée non officielle du parc (prévoir achat des entrées avant), belle maison restaurée. Belle chambre bien chauffée, excellente literie équipée d'un mini frigo. Accueil simple mais efficace. Prix relativement élevé mais comme partout dans cette région.
