Bull Escorial & Spa

Never having been to Gran Canaria before, we picked this hotel for 5 days with Jet2 at random and so glad we did!!! We arrived at 8.30pm and as the restaurant closes at 9pm, we were immediately advised to go and eat before checking in, which we did. The food is excellent, the staff are excellent and the property is extremely clean. There is a mini golf on the 3rd floor, and downstairs there is an enormous games room, even with a 10 pin bowling lane, which is free!!!! We were on half board, the drinks were so reasonably priced, even the wine, which is very unusual for a hotel of this standard. The hotel is in a great location, bus stop right outside the hotel, one day we went to Porto Mogan, a lovely little town with a harbour and pretty narrow streets. The rest of the days we spent walking along the promenade to Maspalomas, with many stops at the bars for coffee and snacks etc. Would really recommend this hotel to anyone and hopefully we will return in the future.

Experienced as a family of 7 with 3 young children and as a couple for the last few days. It's a lovely hotel with clean spacious rooms and lots of sunbathing space,although limited around the pool. The lifeguards are a bit officious but how many times have you seen Hotels have rules you agree with but never enforced, so can't complain when they are. Entertainment area is a bit small but something on most nights. Young kids enjoyed the indoor pool and older ones the floatation which is a unique experience. All the staff we had interactions with were friendly and a tablet left in the room was promptly returned. One thing which happily surprised me was that there was a happy hour after 8pm where 4 generous spirit measures were charged around 7 euros and even without happy hour the prices were very reasonable. Buffet was not particularly special but always something to satisfy ages 1 to 64.

One of the worst hotels we have stayed in the electricity wiring was awful we asked to be moved they did not we would never stay here again or recommend anybody else to do the same .We had a awful holiday here the hotel was truly terrible you have been warned
