Stayed here 6 night half board with 5 of us in total over 3 rooms. Hotel is stunning and has been recently refurbished so is very modern. Staff are super friendly, especially reception and special mention to Abel who was fantastic. Location is excellent, directly on the ‘golden mile’ with an easy 5 minute walk to the main areas of the resort and directly linked to the beachfront from the pool. Rooms - we had 3 double rooms which were spacious, as was the bathroom, and the rain shower was amazing. In terms of the room cleaning, we found this mostly good but some days it was excellent, others not so good, more of 4 star but I guess that depends on the maid you have. Rooms have USB and USBC ports next to your bed but compared to a proper wall charger they were slow at charging. The room is very modern with plenty of hangers and storage. The TV had a few UK channels. Our room overlooked the street so given the location you do hear music/noise until around 2am but it was very well sound insulated. It’s not loud, but you do hear a faint ‘boom boom’ in the background from music along the ***** but I think we just got just use to it after the first night. I’d get a pool view next time but we did enjoy people watching from the balcony. The pool - We never had to worry about getting up early to reserve a bed like in other hotels, unless you like being right next to the pool. Even with 5 of us we got a bed together at 10am after breakfast as the pool area is massive and theirs loads of beds to go around, most with umbrella’s. Beds were comfy but I did think the areas directly around the beds could be a bit cleaner. Whilst the overall main area is super clean, areas in between the beds clearly hadn’t been washed down daily where people had spilt drinks, etc, and for a 5 star hotel, this isn’t the 5 star that we have been at before. The pool towel police were out but we still saw beds sit empty for a good few hours. We left our beds several times and went out for lunch for an hour and they were still there when we returned so no need to panic about losing your sun bed. The food - would I stay half board again? Probably not! The breakfast was okay, but the hot food wasn’t very warm at times and for the size of the hotel there just isn’t enough buffet tray/stations, in our opinion. Maybe we just compared this too much to a previous Iberostar hotel? We were down by 9am every day, but anytime after that and you will be queueing to get in. Whilst theirs multiple cook stations, the standard bacon, sausage, beans, etc, only has 1 place at the far end as you come in and regularly we queued for food when at the other end it was empty as the food wasn’t as good or filled with the same main dishes such as bacon, sausage, etc. Simply put the exact same food station at the other end and the problem will be solved and queuing issue resolved! The evening dinner was a real let down though. Again the same issue, just not enough food for the numbers of people and whilst
