Spring Hotel Vulcano

Lovely hotel at a very good location. Modern, nicely decorated for Chris**as. Polite staff, good choice for breakfast and dinner. Chris**as dinner was something out of this world( been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match). Not sure if it is always like this but we were the youngest in the hotel(43&47)during the first part of holidays and only later some other younger people joined us. The average age was 60's 😁 This hotel is not orientated to children but for us it was perfect- no screaming and shouting and our girl had fun in the pool by Herself and her cousin🤣 I wanted to book Spring Hotel Bitacora at first but now I am thinking that I made an excellent choice . That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. We were half board and 4 days we ate at the pool bar and were never disappointed. Good food and reasonable prices. We didn't book UP option because we were with the kids( it's for 18+)but if I ever come without them- I will try it out! Pros: Very good location Modern hotel Heated pools( wheelchair friendly) Good food and service Cons: No shampoo in a room! It's a first for me 🙈 The tiles in the pool (mosaic) need replacement. My daughter filled probably half of the carrier bag from the bottom saw of the pool🤣 All in all- perfect stay and believe me, I am picky. It is one of the hotels I would recommend to my friends and family

I have been going to Tenerife for 25 years but this is the first time I have stayed in the Vulcano. I always thought it looked like a fabulous hotel and don’t get me wrong, it is very picturesque and grand in all aspects however, the standards didn’t feel quite so high in some areas. First of all, we had 4 cockroaches in our room within the space of 24 hours and we couldn’t sleep properly out of fear. When escalating this to the front desk, they said it was “normal” due to the climate and they would get us a “deep clean” however it was just a maid with bug spray turned up. In my opinion, I don’t think 4 cockroaches in a short amount of time is normal, especially as I have been to Tenerife many times and never encountered this issue. they clearly have a cockroach problem. They convinced us to stay in the room for that night and see by the morning however that night we saw 2 more and we got the heck out of there and demanded to be moved at 11:30pm. Luckily, Patricia who was on the front desk who was the only helpful staff member moved us straight away with no fuss to the 7th floor to an UP room for free and had an even better view of the pool and could see the sea for miles. It really did improve our overall experience in the hotel. However in this room, we did encounter 1 more cockroach but we let it slide as it was just 1 and also we had a lot of issues with our safe in which the maintenance man had to be called up a total of 4 times. The food was very hit and miss, some nights it was really nice and flavourful and lots of variety but more often than not, it was very bland and had a lot of the same old food being offered which could be really boring. A lot of seafood which isn’t to every one’s taste. I think it really does depend on the chef that night. Balance terrace was nice however it’s not worth the extra money I don’t think. The pool there was really shallow and wasn’t that cool at all, it felt warm and in the hot weather, it’s nice to have a cool pool. Overall, I’m glad I stayed here to experience the Vulcano but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is quite imposing, the entrance vestibule/atrium is very impressive. The pool view room we were in was very much standard hotel fare. Good: The room was very quiet and the blackout curtains effective. Our booking with Jet 2 included the safe and use of fridge at no cost. Filtered water dispensers on each floor a good idea. All the staff were very pleasant professional and helpful. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. Not so good: The wood panel floor in our room was badly in need of replacement. It had obviously been screwed down in several places to deal with buckling/warping. Several sharp areas of veneer were masked with gaffer tape! Although there were ample sun beds they were packed very closely together and difficult to reposition and the parasols almost impossible to move. Poor: Although the breakfast buffet was excellent the evening meal was very poor for a 4 star hotel. The items on the grill, especially meat, were very poor, often tough to the point of being inedible. Any drinks must be purchased in the restaurant, even water. I freely admit that we didn’t bother raising any issues during our stay. The hotel baggage check in offered by Jet 2 was really great and made for a stress free journey home.

The Spring Hotel Vulcano is a very well kept & run hotel & liked all the features pool & restaurants. It has a few areas that require minor repairs, The bedrooms & bathrooms are very good. Bar area & staff top quality & even have nightly entertainment.

This was our first trip to this hotel and to Tenerife and it certainly impressed us, the Hotel was spotlessly clean, all the staff are so friendly , pleasant and helpful. Above and beyond what we expected. We shall definitely be back again very soon. definately gone down in our estimation, poor availability on bedding. Hotel had no clean pillowcases for us when requested. food choice has been greatly reduced in variety of choice & quality on offer. Had to move out of our bedroom after 1 night because the drains in the bathroom were so pungent. food choice has deteriorated from previous stays here and the entertainment has been reduced. very sad as after spending so much renovating the hotel its been amazing in the previous years. unfortunately its not the same now especially as it cost over £2600.00 for our holiday, so its definately not good value for money im afraid.

The hotel to be fair is not as good as our last visit here 2 years ago looks like corners are been cut like no tea/ coffee in the rooms no water you have to get up and go to a water machine in the hallway also half board you have to allocate a time for your dinner for the duration of your stay which is unreal as we do not set our holidays by the hotel we like to have our dinner when we want but states on restraunt board outside dinner 7 to 10 the pool area is looking tired with smashed tiles and ants nests in the walls and as for the parasols they look old and worn also a large hole in the wall in our room

Great, clean room, balance terrace was great, pool was great , breakfast great! And super friendly staff ***** would definitely recommend and return to this one or another in the Spring Hotel chain. UP access was a little too expensive would be good if there were some cheaper access options maybe for just a few hours etc

Myself and my wife stayed here from 27th April to 4th May and we had a fantastic time. We arrived and were greeted with a glass of bubbly or flavored water, the check-in was smooth and simple which after a long day was appreciated. Our room was excellent with a pool view which is lit up during the night and looks fab. The rooms are well decorated and the bathroom and toilets are fine. The towels and room were cleaned daily which is great service. The little negative is the rooms don’t have a iron or ironing board but if you ask reception they will send one up to you. The hotels location is absolutely great you are two minutes from the Safari Centre, five minutes from the main bars before Veronicas and a five minute walk from the beach so this is a huge plus. The pool area is very good and clean and have numerous sunbeds so plenty of choice. The main pool was a bit cold but there are heated alternatives available if you want them. We paid to go to the UP lounge which was 50 euro a day each as they had a special offer on and it was well worth it. Everything was included including all food drink cocktails and named spirts so if you think about going do it in our opinion its worth every penny. Overall the hotel is excellent could it do with a bit TLC yes but that is probably the only negative thing I could say. We would stay here again if we came back to Las Americas and its not often we say that.
