So, we stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate my partners birthday. We have stayed in many hotels and resorts etc so we have a lot to compare to, Tigotan was potentially one of our favourite hotels. The hotel is designed very modern and clean, when you first walk in it’s bright, it smells nice and everything is organised, we were greeted with Prosecco as soon as we got to reception and the receptionist also got us checked in at 11 instead of 3pm. The rooms are nice and modern, we didn’t go for the upgrades so we didn’t have a great view but you get what you pay for, if you upgrade the views would be great. The food at this hotel is amazing, breakfast has everything you could want, full English breakfast, waffles, pancakes, pastries, fruit, cereal all sorts of drinks including Prosecco. Tea time was different every night, always something to choose from, you could have steak, fish, chicken, kebabs, pastas dishes, all sorts of desserts there was loads of choice. The pool area has really comfy almost bed type sunbeds which we always chose, as long as you’re out before 9 you will get a sun bed, any later and it’s unlikely. No music is played around the pool, which at first was strange but it made it really relaxing. The entertainment is more obvious in evenings, we saw a rock show, dance show, party on the roof top bar, but in the day it’s the usual water aerobics and competitive games. They put a lot of effort into the entertainment. The hotel was just always bringing nice surprises, a little cocktail bar appeared around the pool for €5 each and they were really nice, staff brought cheese around for everyone for free, someone walked around with an eagle. We had a surprise bottle of champagne brought to our room on my partners birthday, they just really put a lot of time and effort in. Overall I’d easily stay here many times but I just wouldn’t come back to Tenerife, not much to do other than drink outside the resort and we don’t drink much, it’s very chavvy and rowdy, and the beaches aren’t great + the wind can’t get annoying, stick to Majorca. There are some negatives but nothing major. There is NO drinks included at tea, not even water, and water is a rip off €5 for two small bottles when it’s 50 cent for 2 litres in a shop. Drinks are ok priced at the hall bar, but on the roof bar they are pricey, which is disappointing because it sort of stops you going and enjoying the roof bar. When it’s so much cheaper everywhere else. The rooms smelt off now and then. Infinite pool on the roof is nice for views but pretty cold, especially as the wind is strong up there. Overall an amazing hotel though, you can tell the management are trying hard to keep it fresh.
