We arrived here a little over a week ago, expecting it to be a 4 star stay, and genuinely, it wasn't. There are some good points, but there are more bad than good, sadly. The room we stayed in (207) is supposed to be a sea-view room, which cost €100 extra booking with Jet2, is a partial view at best. You have to stand up on the tearrace and look from a certain view to see anything over the rooms which are blocking any decent views of the sea. Not worth the extra price. We had so many issues with cleaning and reception, like other people have reported, stained bed sheets, which we reported twice, and nothing was done about it. The lack of customer service from reception is frustrating. Why would a 4 star hotel use stained bed sheets? Where is the logic in that? We reported ants crawling around the room, which is understandable given the climate, but we mentioned that there's dead ants in the fridge, and to no surprise, nothing done about that either. We didn't even eat anything in the room, so we are not to blame for attracting ants. Simply put, the hotel does nothing to help. The beds aren't even made up unless you request clean sheets which then ended up being replaced with stained ones, yet again. It gets to the stage you give up reporting anything because there's no point in doing so. The food is decent and always of a good temperature, even if the choice is lacking. There are plenty of sun beds and there is a chilled vibe around the place, apart from the pool bar, which has very loud music playing at 11 in the morning when you're just trying to sit there and have a quiet drink, there is a borderline disco going on. The beds are very creeky. The bathroom is small, but the living room is large and comfortable. The location of the hotel is quite a walk away from town, you need taxis or the 30 bus if you plan on commuting out a lot. There's so little to do on the complex, the animation programme is very basic, you will need to go out here and there. There is no on-site shop, no gym, no laundry room, etc. One of the biggest jokes of all, is the fact that it is €70 to keep the room on until the afternoon. That is just ridiculous, and so is asking for €20 just to take a quick shower in a courtesy room so you can freshen up before a later transfer. I've seen management respond to a similar complaint about this on a different review, saying that is disrespectful of guests to wash using a sink in the toilet cubicles instead of using the courtesy room. Let's be serious about this, nobody in their right mind is going to pay €20 for a 10 minute shower. That's just pure greed from the hotel. They should worry more about their own lack of customer service, cleaning standards and greedy pricing than an individual using a tap! Their attitude to clearly not caring about their guests and their concerns means that I wouldn't come back here. We spoke to the Jet2 rep about our issues and he agreed that this hotel needs a push to get anything done.
