Hotel Mirador Papagayo by LIVVO

The Hotel was too far out for us, while we like a walk we don’t like to have to walk along a coastal path just to get a coffee, absolutely nothing near by. The rooms are large and the beds comfortable but the bathrooms really need updating, they are dark and dingy. Food okay, we only ever had breakfast and lunch and it was fine but I have stayed at hotels with a much better selection. Cleanliness average, there had been a drink spilled near us at the pool on Monday and the mess was still there today. In summary the hotel wasn’t for us and we wouldn’t return

Beautiful setting and good hotel. Rooms/bathrooms lovely sized and full sea view beautiful. Beds comfy. Good air conditioning. Nice pool and loungers. It was 24 degrees heat in May. Staff ok. Mainly not very friendly with British people. There's a lovely marina coastal walk 25 minutes to a place with many restaurants and a lovely Oasis bar with live music most evenings in high season. For all inclusive the drinks were good enough, food selection ok, especially fruit and salad. But, it's all very very bland. Some exceptions, but even the feta cheese was tasteless. But for the price if not staying more than a week it's enough to pass and survive. Evening entertainment quite dated, but good for younger families. Biggest plus is the spa. Worth spending two hours there. Nearby marina shops are lovely, especially Freedom ethical cotton boutique. It's a really great hotel to sunbathe, have a few drinks and get an early night. It's not a party place. You need to be nearer the airport for dinner crowd. For a group of 40yr old girlies it's was just right

We spent a lovely week at the Mirador. Throughout our stay the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean, as was the whole hotel. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet so no problems getting to sleep. I had some reservations about the food as I have special dietary requirements but I had absolutely no problem. The chef came out to meet me at each meal to tell me what was and wasn’t gluten free and if there was nothing that I was able to eat or wanted, something was cooked specially. They had gf muesli, breakfast cereal, bacon, bread and desserts which were brought from the kitchen specially. The dining is buffet for every meal which is not my favourite but we knew this before we booked. After the first couple of days we worked out which were the quietest times and this worked well. We were all inclusive which was definitely value for money. The hotel caters for a mixed range, there were families with young children, couples and groups of couples, groups of men and groups of women of all nationalities all who seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. There is a courtesy bus to Playa Blanca twice daily and it is only a 15 minute walk along the front to the harbour for the market which is on every Wednesday and Saturday. I’d definitely recommend a visit to the spa, it’s amazing! I would like to thank the management and staff for their care and attention to detail and wouldn’t hesitate to go back to the Mirador.

Loved everything about this hotel , great staff , no fighting for sunbeds, great views , great location. Was half board, can't complain , food was good & lots of choice. Preferred breakfast to lunch, think there was a bit more choice. But overall , really enjoyed our stay , returning again in January.

Great hotel but food well were do I start, worse all inclusive food I have had in over 35 years of travel, ok if you like dry chicken every night or pork / fish, over cooked carrots, the only veg every night, limited desserts, pool bar food is even worse cold tasteless, left all day not changed and a really miserable woman serving drinks, I don’t think she knows how to smile, management should have words with her to address her attitude!!!!! The rest of the staff are really friendly, the young man with long hair who does animation is very friendly ,it’s such a shame because the hotel has great potential, we have a beautiful sea view suite which has loads of room and beautiful views, it is the food that lets it down and the lack of choice, children would struggle eating here, this is the first time we have ever wrote a review but felt we had to , I wish we had listened to the reviews about the food , please don’t waste your hard earned money , we’re not fussy eaters but are struggling to put a meal together every night and we’ve still got 6 days left, also it’s the first all inclusive spa hotel we’ve been to that charges you 20 euros each for 90 minutes to use the pool / sauna , total Rip off !!!! Jet 2 should take a second look at this hotel as it’s definitely not a 4 star and definitely not up to jet 2 standards

Ubicación estupenda si lo que buscas es tranquilidad. Habitación espaciosa,sin ruidos. Calidad precio excelente. Limpieza muy bien. Personal muy atento desde la entrada. Buffet correcto tanto en el desayuno como en la cena. Recomendable.
