Paying for airco and WiFi. That’s a ripoff!

3rd time visiting palmeras garden and still as fantastic as ever very clean very friendly even the little hegh hog came to say hello keep up the great work palmeras garden we are back next year counting the days missing Sarah flip flops walking passed lol x

Palmeras Garden is paradise if you want a tranquil break. The staff are lovely and the apartment, pool and grounds are spotless. There is a pool bar serving drinks and snacks and there was always loungers and was often the only one on the pool as its term time. Bar Arena downstairs serves fresh cooked food at good prices and is a regular bar for tourists and locals with very friendly staff. (Bingo Thursdays and live music Saturdays are busy) The little shop sells all the basics - albeit at a slightly higher price for the convenience. Reception will call you a taxi to Playa Flamingo or Playa Blanca or there are a handful of restaurants within 5 minutes walk. I also had two reflexology treatments from the onsite massage therapist Leandra Verna and she was excellent.

We had the most amazing two week break at Palmeras Gardens. Please don’t be put off by negative reviews. The hotel was around a 30 minute walk into Playa Blanca central. We went along the seafront which made for a lovely walk. Alternatively A taxi costs €5 and the bus €1.40 per journey, and they run every 30 mins and stop on the main road just above the complex. We used this most days as it’s so quick and convenient. You are far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but still plenty of things close by. Onsite bar and supermarket. Around 4/5 restaurants a 2 minute walk away. Around 15 minute to Flamingo Beach with more restaurants and supermarkets and the same the opposite way to Pechiguera again with more restaurants and supermarkets. We stayed in a superior bungalow and we couldn’t fault it. It was clean and spacious and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Although other bungalows close by we never heard another person. No noise from the pool area either. You could even see the sea from the terrace. We were there for 2 weeks and the room was cleaned 12 out of the 14 days. We knew when we booked that it was extra for the air conditioning and safety key. I don’t understand the people who moaned about not knowing as it’s clearly stated on the website. The reception offers a premium pack which is the air conditioning, premium WiFi and safe. They do a package for 1/7/10/14/21/30 days. Well worth the money and a great saving. Deposit required but you get this back. Reception staff were so friendly and helpful, literally couldn’t do enough for you. A few times we asked for more toilet roll etc and it was delivered right away. Also happy to help you book excursions and offer local information. Pool area was clean and tidy and despite going in July/August we never had any issues getting a bed or umbrella. Reception offers mattress rental for beds but I don’t think it’s worth it. You can rent pool towels which we did for just a €10 deposit. If you want to change them during the holiday it’s €1 per towel. Pool bar opens from 11am. A good choice of drinks and snacks and ice creams and you can order from the full bar menu. Good value for money. Bar arena was just down the steps and we couldn’t fault it. Service was second to none and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was really tasty and I’d highly recommend the fish and chips and pizza. If you are looking for a nice beach then flamingo beach is the best. Easy to access, a great place to swim and take little ones in the water as it’s a bay. A sandy beach. Plenty of places to park up for the day. Stuff was safe to be left when we went in the water as it’s family friendly. Even rented a paddle board one day which was fun and good value for money (€15 for an hour or €20 for 2) If you are looking for a quiet getaway then this is the place for it. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Our 6th stay at Palmeras Garden. Wonderful as ever, very friendly staff. Lovely clean bungalow. The pool area is great, NO reservation of sunbeds (although a few selfish people still did). Nice and quiet, not really for party people. Great food and drink from the pool bar and Bar Arena in the complex, good prices too. We will be back again soon.

We stayed in September, the area is very quiet, we used to get a number 30 bus from behind the hotel into playa blanca at a cost of 1.40 euro. Never had to rush for sunbeds and the pool was always empty. Cons are that reception closes at 5pm and nearest supermarket opens at 11 am. We had to try and find our apartment at approx 9pm in the dark. We tried to get a late checkout but none were available which we understood as hotel was full but when we went to shower room there was no hot water and the shower room flooded. We enjoyed our stay but it is a bit too quiet for us .

Another lovely stay at our favourite place. We opted for a bungalow this time, no 53, which was well situated at a quiet edge of the complex but a short walk to the pool. The accommodation was as usual well equipped, comfortable and the housekeeping team did a great job. We rented Aircon, towels and WiFi as a package with a refundable deposit. No need to rush for sunbeds even though it was busier than we've experienced due to a wedding party. The staff as usual were so helpful and efficient. Good transport into the main resort from the main road but the Bar Arena next door and local restaurants a walk away served us well for a week. We've already booked for next year!

Stayed as a couple Sept 2024 on a TUI holiday. Good: Lovely and quiet resort, just what the wife and I were after. Please keep it that way as it is a definite plus point. Rooms were large, the bedroom massive. Well equipped kitchenette, microwave, hob, utensils etc. Pool was more than adequate for the amount of residents in complex. Pool and grounds clean and well kept. Staff really helpful at reception and seem happy. Not so good: Check in wasn't till 3.00pm so had to wait around. It's not as if we had much choice as to when we arrived as we were on a TUI package. The cost of the safe and Aircon extra. No communal room set aside to change or shower if arriving early or you have a late departure. Observations: There are no staff around after 5pm. This made me nervy as to how we could get into the room at night if we lost the only key we had. As a result we left the patio door unlocked for pace of mind. If you plan to use the hob in the room I suggest you complete and pass a degree in computer studies before you leave.....!!!! There are no large supermarkets near. Only a small store but this didn't open till 11.00am so the first morning we were a little stuck. The store was fine though for the items we needed during the rest of the holiday. Near to a few restaurants, we recommend Luna the Italian. About 20mins walk to more at Playa Flamenco beach and a further 10 min walk to Playa Blanca.

We loved it here, it’s exactly what we needed. Apartments were modern and well fitted, pool area nice with plenty of sunbeds, the Bar Arena and small supermarket right there within the facility (and good prices) and the staff were great, really friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

The superior bungalow was well equipped and a good size.and had been recently refurbished My only comments are 1) it is annoying to have to pay extra for air con and the safe key, why not just include it in the price. 2) the standard of cleaning is not up to scratch, on the surface it looks ok but I don't think the floors were mopped during our entire 2 week stay. 3) the linen on the beds was not the newest and he had a sheet with a hole in it and one with a stain and in addition they were not changed as often as stated in the handbook.

A really good friendly holiday stay at palmera gardens.A special thanks to the lovely Celia at the desk for getting me my wallet I mislayed the night before, nothing was a problem to her . All staff were excellent.A must stay A 1...... Studio was very clean and tidy all round

We’ve stayed at Palmeras Gardens a few times. It was / still sometimes is a lovely peaceful resort. The pool is fab, the people who work there are very helpful and friendly. People commenting on lack of kids clubs or general entertainment are missing the point of this place, it’s meant to be quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of sun beds around the pool but on the days it gets busy, there’s not enough. And that’s often down to the towels down at 9am, get there at 12pm brigade. There are also often large family groups staying and when 13 towels are down with no one using them, it’s a tad frustrating. We rented a bungalow. Ideal for our needs. But the walls are paper thin. You hear every cough, sneeze, door squeak and voice as if they are in the room with you. There were too many broken nights’ sleep and we were tired for a lot of the holiday. And that’s the rub… I don’t want to be constantly woken up by someone getting in at 1 or 2am. I want to relax. So we won’t be back. But that said, it really is a lovely resort and on its quiet days and nights, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
