HL Club Playa Blanca

Struttura nuova molto ben organizzata nonostante il numero delle camere . La posizione è eccezionale a 100 metri dalla bellissima spiaggia di Playa dorata . Inoltre hanno un corner Avis per il noleggio auto che mi ha salvato la vacanza , non avendo prenotato la vettura da casa. Da sottolineare l enorme piscina in gran parte riscaldata ,e la disponibilità dei ragazzi alla reception , sempre gentili e pronti a risolvere ogni problema. Un discorso a parte la ristorazione , niente da dire tantissima varietà sia a colazione che a cena ; ma siamo Italiani e dalla cucina ci aspettiamo sempre una qualità altissima…. Globalmente credo forse la migliore sistemazione a Playa Blanca

Absolutely excellent. In every single way! Food delicious, hotel gorgeous, villas clean, beautiful and perfect for our family. Kids entertainment is excellent and so engaging for the kids. This is our 3rd year at the hotel, 2nd time seeing Rasi and his team. Can't wait for our 4th year!

TLDR: it’s cheap for a reason and should be classified at 3 star. Pros: Decent size room Clean enough Staff at reception were helpful Shuttle to the beach Cons: Food is barely edible and very cold at dinner Drink are cheaply made Witnessed several other guests complaining Cleaner came to our room at 8:20am to clean! Entertainment is mediocre Clientele is Butlins abroad Very run down and dated WiFi isn’t free?! Overall, if you’re expecting 4 star, this isn’t it and I’d suggest booking a H10 instead. If you’re happy with 3 star then this hotel would be fine.

We felt a little disappointed when we arrived but that improved during our stay and we left having had a nice time. If you've booked, it will be fine. You get what you pay for and for what we paid we were fairly happy. ROOMS: We enjoyed our spacious and clean rooms. They are a little dated but have everything you need and plenty of storage space, unlike some of the refurbed hotels where there is nowhere to put anything. The beds were very comfy in one bungalow and ok in the other. It was good to have extra blankets (November). It was lovely having a terrace with our own bougainvillea to sit under. GROUNDS: This must be one of the prettiest hotels we've stayed at. Lots of colour from the hibiscus, bougainvillea and more, various cactus plants, palm trees and bananas. We found it amusing when we said "hello" or "hola" to the cats as we walked by, they usually miaowed it back. Our room was quite a trek from the pool but it was good exercise, especially as we seemed to go different ways each time. Better signage and lighting would help. We called our "road" Pom-pom Drive because of our topiary tree. FOOD: We are not picky, we take food reviews with a pinch of salt as you can usually find something nice. However, our first opinion of the food was awful when we arrived but thankfully it improved (and got a bit hotter as the week went by). Our flight had been delayed and we arrived 20 minutes before the end of lunch. There was barely anything left, it wasn't appealing and was barely warm. We got something to try but it was not good so we left it and went to the pool bar for pizza. We made it just in time to the pool bar and got a freshly cooked pizza which was ok. There was a small salad bar which was a little too uncovered for my liking. There is a glass cabinet with wrapped ham and cheese sandwiches, some fruit and a small selection of ok pastries. There is a toastie machine. The pizzas are not around for long, we only managed to get them once. We went for a walk on our first day and none of us could face dinner at the hotel so we ate out. We liked the restaurant, it was clean and spacious, light and bright, and you didn't have to queue. Tables were cleared quickly, so quickly that a couple of times my wine glass and plate were taken while I was still eating/drinking. The cooked breakfast was ok. The sausages on the Live Station were always pink in the middle. If you went to the cooked breakfast station you might be lucky getting a cooked one but they weren't that nice. Bacon was sometimes black or a mixture of ok or undercooked but a nicely cooked piece was fine. The fried eggs, omelettes, scrambled eggs were generally good. The hash browns were poor quality. Breakfast was often warm, not hot and the microwave nearby got used. But there were other things to eat. The evening meals were better. In particular we loved the serrano ham, chorizo, veal escalopes, lemon potatoes, canarian potatoes with mojo sauce. The Indian themed night was very y

Stayed here for a week in November with my partner and three children . Was wary from previous reviews but how wrong the reviews are . Food was great as were the drinks . Bungalow was spacious and clean . All the staff were amazing and work so hard and really contributed to a fabulous holiday here . We will definitely be returning . Thank you for a great holiday

Bit of context this is our 3rd visit to the hotel over a 15 year period. 7 in our party including a 3 year old, 16 year old and 19 year old. Food - standard AI fare, not worst I’ve had not the best. Always plenty of choice, with speciality nights best. Vegetarian choices not very well labelled. Can get very busy and noisy at dinner between 7 to 7.45. Drinks - again standard AI fare. Self serve soft drinks but any alcohol you have to be served. Never much of a queue. Beer is Amstel. My criticism would be the pool bar should have been shutting at 6.30 but very often it would shut at 5.45 and the advertised cakes etc. never materialised. Rooms- very spacious, with lots of storage space. AC only in bedroom but very efficient. Cleaned 6 days a week. Fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Amongst best rooms we’ve had at an AI hotel. Pool - plenty of sunbeds. Usual notices about not reserving spots but not enforced. If you wanted a particular place people were reserving from 8. Kept as tidy as they can be by staff during the day, but guests don’t help themselves by their laziness to just put used cups, plates etc. in bins! Water temperature a tad bracing! Special mention to the lifeguard who was the friendliest person I met at the hotel. Gardens- immaculately tended. Some of the cacti are incredible, with gorgeous bourganvilla adorning a lot of rooms. Our 3 year old was fascinated by the bananas growing around. Entertainment - basic. We are not joiners in during the day, people who do seemed to be enjoying the darts, water polo etc. Evening the team did their best, managed to make one game of bingo last 45 minutes and kept it entertaining. 3 year old loved mini disco. However during our stay there were 2 quizzes. Great as I love a quiz, however when it became evident that the second one was exactly the same music questions as the first from a few days earlier we left. Location- 10/15 minutes walk to shops, bars etc. 35/40 minutes walk to harbour along a lovely promenade. Staff - hit and miss. Lovely young lady behind the bar on occasions. Other times young men who enjoy talking very loudly to each other but not guests. Reception when I checked out was met with veiled disdain. Not even a ‘did you enjoy your stay’ a simple touch to round off the holiday. In summary overall we enjoyed our stay again. We know what we’re getting, a nice clean hotel offering decent food in a good location.
