Porter's Plainland Hotel

We've stayed at Porter's twice this year. The first in King rooms and the second in the 2 bedroom suite. Both visits were equally brilliant. I'd love to be able to suggest something extra the accommodation could provide but I can't as they have thought of everything. The most valuable part of the experience for me, was the sincerely kind, considerate and welcoming staff. This wasn't limited to reception staff. Staff in the attached hotel were extremely attentive during dinner service and when I went to order some coffees, the staff offered to bring my drinks to my room which afforded me additional time to unwind in my room. From spacious rooms and large bathrooms to wide hallways and extremely easy parking, Porter's can't possibly be classified as anything but an excellent place to stay awhile.

We just used Porters as our accommodation for my son's Wedding on 3rd May. Our room was so spacious, we were quite surprised by the size. Had sofa lounge separated by partial wall from main bed with little table & chairs. TV's x 2 - one in lounge area & 1 in bedroom. Big kitchenette bench. Bathroom was wheelchair accessible, modern and again huge! The backlit mirror was handy. Being close to highway I was bit concerned with noise but no need to be - was quiet. Only criticisms was our allotted car space was constantly used by other day visitors and no English Breakfast tea bags were topped up on Saturday, ready for Sunday morning cuppa. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and evening meals in Bistro. Meals took a long time to come approx 1 hour Friday night as busy; but did not disappoint. Lavish dessert bar cabinet. Enjoyed our stay immensely and felt very spoilt. Looking forward to coming back. Thank you Porters - you did not disappoint! Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I booked 2 rooms for my family to share (2 bedroom apartment and family room - 3 adults and 3 children) for a week while we were in town for my Daughter's wedding in Laidley. Other extended family members and guests also stayed at the hotel and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The staff were fantastic, the rooms were first class, the food was delicious ... and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever experienced. This hotel is something special and we will definitely stay there again. Thanks so much Porters! ... ps can you please let me know what type of pillows you use?

Porters Plainlands has everything you could need or wish for, and sets the bar in the region for so many aspects of excellent hospitality. My visit was a self-indulging treat, and I'm so glad I chose Porters to host it. From the moment of arrival and check in to the moment I drove out of the parking lot, I felt that firstly, as a person, my experience there was very much cared about, and secondly, that my business was appreciated. My room was so comfortable and pleasant; the bed, pillows, shower and other hotel provisions were excellent. Good coffee and tea brands too - though I'd have liked a decaf and ended up going down to the bar to get one made for me. I especially liked the fragrance of the toiletries: vanilla and honey, but it wasn't like the cheap, sickly or overbearing like the supermarket interpretations of that scent blend, but was a complex, unisex, botanical aroma. It was quite lovely. The rooms are away from the highway and was well-soundproofed. I didn't hear any road noise while in my room. For others with sensory sensitivities like me, there's ample capacity to enjoy cocooning yourself in privacy. When venturing beyond my room to dine and relax in the hotel's other facilities, the staff went all-out to ensure I had a good experience. Friendly and helpful staff that take notice of subtle details and personalise their service to each guest. It's a wonderful staff team that made my stay so much more enjoyable, and I'm grateful for that.

We had no expectations - driven past many times, had been to the "old pub" but not the new and not the accommodation. We arrived later than expected so we had to push our dinner reservation. The front office staff were wonderful - friendly, effiencient and made us feel like we knew the place already. This whole complex is well done! The accommodation is great and you can see they went to some trouble to build it well. The restaurant was packed, and after having dinner we can see why - great meals. The restaurant staff were friendly as well and although they were very busy they had the staff to deal with it and had them organised. I will stay here again, in fact I'll probably plan to stay here instead of Brisbane on our way home.

What a great place to stay! Big rooms - including room for a roll away if required. Clean, quiet and well appointed rooms. Tea and coffee and bikkies provided. Attached to the pub for great meals etc. Function rooms well run too. Recommend this country venue.
