Ray Caye Island Resort

Wonderful place for a stay. The facility is on a lovely upscale Caye near the barrier reef. The staff is well trained friendly and informative. Our cabin was well equipped with AC but we used the open windows and sea breeze for a great nights sleep. The king bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The meals were impressive especially the dinner fare. We would highly recommend Raye Caye for a delightful stay.

Fabulous get away! The staff are friendly and doting, the food was delicious, there are private little beaches all around the island, plus a fun water slide in to the Caribbean Sea! Complimentary use of the paddle boards, Hobie cat, and kayaks! They have lots of scuba, snorkeling or fishing tours available. A perfect combination of high end resort and mellow island vibes. And did I mention the sunsets?

Ray caye was amazing, we spent a wonderful week there.it was the slow season and they upgraded us to the best house on the property. The whole time on the island we were one of at most three couples and for thee days the only couple. We were treated so special. The staff was awesome and we will definitely be going back.

We finally got the opportunity to stay at Ray Caye and it was the perfect getaway. We live in Belize but were treated with the same great service as anyone else on the island. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very nicely decorated and clean with comfy beds, cool AC and hot showers. The grounds were beautiful and well kept by the staff. There is two beautiful pools to enjoy. My 12 year old daughter loved the water slide off the south dock. The food at the lionfish grill was so good and the second night we speared a grouper which they cooked up for us and did a perfect job incorporating the fish into their dinner special. We would definitely come back for a visit and break from our busy work schedule running our dive shop in Hopkins.

This island resort has it all! It’s your own private piece of paradise! There are only a handful of units, some with kitchens and all have a balcony or deck with a view of the sea. The beds are king sized, comfy and have nice pillows. The island is small with tiny beaches on all sides, a deck with a water slide that also is a place to view eagle rays at night. There is a pretty pool, a beach volleyball net, paddle boards to use, a hobie cat for excursions and a dive shop as well as a gift shop. We took a hobie cat excursion to a sandbar which is under the water but shallow enough to walk on. We also went snorkeling. The diver master was exceptional. We saw a giant turtle, eagle rays, a lion fish, two kinds of sharks, a lobster and many fish and pretty coral. The restaurant and bar serves great cocktails and very good food. I had rack of lamb that rivaled any I have eaten. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant as well. If you enjoy getting away from the crowds and enjoy water sports this is a fabulous place to stay. It’s very quiet at night and there are no televisions in the rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved the resort and hope to return.
