The Wellwood

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night. On arrival, we parked up with no problems on site. We were greeted by a friendly lady who showed us into the beautiful reception room while she got us some cold cranberry juice and documents to fill out - car registration, breakfast for the next morning. We were then shown to our room, which was bright and beautiful. It was a small room, but it was really cosy and the decor was stunning plus we had a lovely view of the gardens. Bathroom was really big with a walk in shower - towels provided and an added extra touch was the sowing kit, shower cap, Cotten pads etc. We were given a nice selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, some biscuits and bottled water - again small touches that make it all the more better. Bed was comfy but my favourite part was the bedding - I am a sucker for some good quality bedding. The house itself is spectacular and super peaceful. We wouldn’t have known anyone else was staying there. It is also only a few mins walk to the town. In the morning we went into the dinning room - again grand and welcoming. There was a lovely spread of fruit, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice etc. We were shown to our table and only waited around 10 mins for our pre ordered full Scottish breakfasts which was AMAZING! Again, the staff were lovely and attentive. We will 100% return and reccomend that other people stay here. Thanks for having us :)

The rooms were lovely! Clean and fresh. The interior was beautiful. Located just a short walk from the town center made the location ideal. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast served in a lovely sitting room. Easy access with car.
