We had a wonderful stay. The employee who checked us in was very friendly and gave us many great local recommendations of where to visit and where to eat! The hotel was very unique and beautiful with so much history. The staff also scheduled complementary pickup and drop off to the train station which was very convenient for our arrival and departure.

Very nice hotel!!! Rooms were great and very clean. Staff are very nice and helpful. We're enjoying our trip in Pingyao. The hotel gives us souvenirs and delivered us to Pingyao Gucheng train station for free. I will stay at this place again for sure next time.

One of my favorite hotel stays ever! The most welcoming and friendly stuff, lovely room and such a beautiful building in the center of the town. Was the best stay ever! Thank you very much.

Receptionist were polite, friendly, helpful & thoughtful. They took initiative to giving us suggestions on 'primary' attractions and recommending us localized dishes, stalls and restaurants, which turned out to be very good. They also arranged to pick us up from the entrance (normal car cannot enter Pingyao Gucheng) and send us to Pingyao Gucheng station (high-speed train station) on our last day - both for free. They helped arrange a private car to take us to the places we wanted to visit (Wang Jia Da Yan & Mianshan) - we had to pay, of course. On check-out day, the receptionist gave us a surprise by gifting us a small bottle of localized vinegar which added on to our pleasant stay. In our travel experiences in more than 10 countries (& many hotels), the receptionist from this hotel was 1 of the best. Room was clean and no cigarette smell inside the room and within hotel premises. Towels were clean and smelled fresh. One small issue was that the water pressure from the hand-held shower head was weak. But the water pressure from rain-shower head was still acceptable. The hotel interior was very ancient-like which was very pretty and met what we expected. No disappointment. Hotel location was very good. A few footsteps away from bustling streets. The bustling streets were full of variety of shops -- restaurants, souvenirs, snacks, attractions, and many more. There was no vegetarian restaurant inside Pingyao Gucheng, however, you could easily ask the restaurant staff to cook vegetarian meal for you -- just need a bit of explaining what you want to exclude from your meal, it's quite easy.

This hotel is really really lovely! The design is beautiful too and the location is well chosen! The staff were so incredibly kind and had us have a room upgrade. They were willing to help us with any questions and organised an excellent ride from the hotel to the train station. The room is clean and comfortable with airco. The beds don’t only look nice they sleep nice as well.

A nice hotel hosted into an ancient building, in the pedestrian area of Pingyao Ancient Town. Rooms open directly on the courtyard giving you the feeling of living in ancient times. Room itself was clean, with all amenities like kettle, tea bags and the necessary for the shower. A real nice place to stay.

Charming stay in Pingyao. The hotel had lots of character, the room was comfortable, and the staff were very attentive. Perfect base to explore the ancient town.

I attach several photos: the Pingyao Grand Theatre is a historic site with many of the hallmarks of the temples I came to visit. The ancient building is beautiful. The hosts were welcoming with a demeanour befitting their valuation of their ancient building. Within minutes, the lady of the house was able to arrange for a car to take me to the wonderful temples at Xiaoxitian and Shuanglin. The other lady met me and arranged for a free transport to the railway station. It was a pleasure to experience ancient China for a couple of days. Xiexie

The environment is excellent. The hotel is converted from a historical building and the hotel operator spent lots to efforts to maintain the original store. The manager was extremely helpful and offered advice on the planning of our sightseeing arrangements.

The staff was very friendly, not afraid of foreigners, and used apps to translate. The location is very close to the main path and the building is very nice

Beautiful hotel right in the center of Pingyao Ancient City, a few steps away from the northern end of the famed Ming & Qing Street. Easy to locate and the lady in the reception is friendly and helpful. The public areas are clean and well tended to and needless to say very instagramable. If you had visited the Wang or Qiao family compound, this hotel will let you experience living in one of those courtyard chambers. The room combines old and modern touches with a modern toilet and comfortable old styled bed. Strong heating and a strong hot shower ensures you feel comfortable during the colder months. Great feeling that your hotel is right in the middle of the ancient city after tiring day of walking. The complimentary transfer to the train station and vinegar gift upon check out is a nice touch. You won't regret staying here.

古城裡主要街道中心 酒店旁邊10米處有南大街東大街西大街的標識路牌指引。這裏住不吵很安靜，幸虧沒有訂衙門街民宿，因為古城晚上不是主街的地方都是掛着燈籠，幽暗的光加上晚上的古城明清老建築保證嚇人。最關鍵的是酒店提供的高鐵站接送服務特別到位，下高鐵接你進店，離開時候老闆喊的車又免費送我們到高鐵站，古城裡不允許車輛通行，衹有小的觀光車通行，估計酒店送我們的車輛有特別通行證吧。

El hotel está muy bien ubicado dentro de la antigua ciudad de Pingyao. Lo peor la cama, es muy muy dura y parece que estás durmiendo encima de una madera, lo cual es muy incómodo. Todo fue bien, pero la experiencia de la cama fue bastante mala y apenas pudimos dormir por esa razón.
