Sunprime Kamala Beach

We absolutely loved our stay! This is a fantastic adults-only hotel located right on the beachfront. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and fluent in English. Our room was spacious and well-insulated, equipped with a large fridge and very comfortable beds. We had a minor issue with the air conditioning, but the staff resolved it quickly by moving us to a different room. Almost every room offers a stunning view. The hotel grounds deserve a special mention -they are beautifully landscaped with tropical plants, including passion fruit and mango trees. We would definitely love to come back if we have the chance!

We have now stayed at Sunprime 3 times. We love that it has the best beachfront location in Kamala, steps from the beach and sea. The staff are all lovely and provide a level of service that you'd hope for in a mid-level hotel like this. Breakfast is good with a wide variety and only really missing the barista coffee you'd get at a higher standard property (so no iced coffee etc.). The hotel's FOUR pools are a standout...you can choose from two beachfront pool or two massive pools in the resort interior...all have sparkling clean water and there are a couple of swim up bar options. There is an abundance of sun loungers so you should never struggle. We opted for the smaller and perhaps older deluxe room with partial sea view this time - it was not noticeably different from the grand deluxe pool view we've stayed in before, the setup was virtually identical but perhaps just marginally smaller. Aircon was effective but on the noisy side. Honest review: this hotel is not the last word in luxury, it doesn't claim to be. It is beloved of the European package holiday crowd. As an adults only hotel the average customer is definitely on the older side with very few to no groups of younger people. Enjoy it for what it is and what it does well and not what it doesn't offer!

The hotel is right in front of the beach. Although there are many pools it was always crowded. Most guests are older and groups like TUI fill up the hotel. The place is a bit run down. My shower did not work properly. The air-conditioning was terribly loud. Overall I think they should be cheaper. Good was good and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly especially Josh from the restaurant. The check-in process was chaotic and not smooth.

The smell of the room wasn’t fresh at all. Smell like sewage. Room was dusty and wasn’t clean as same as glasses. Just experienced the most ridiculous in-room service ever. Ordered a bucket of ice and it costs 50THB plus another 50THB as a delivery fees to the room. I asked the staff and been told that if I didn’t want to pay i had to walk to pick up myself. Thats in-room service!!. There weren’t that many breakfast options. However staff were friendly and helpful. Location was perfect.

Everything was according description. The hotel wasn’t modern but in everything was in good working condition.

We loved the no children policies, it was nice to be able to swim in the pool without children screaming and jumping around you. Resturant was lovely, breakfast was good with a good variety of food. It is just a little out of town and many grabs was used. Lovely beach and the locals were great. Hopefully see you again.

My stay here was very good. My room was large with a big balcony overlooking 1 of 4 pools. Unfortunately the bed is terribly, it's 2 single beds pushed together with a mattress topper thrown on. It there for has a high point in the middle so you always feel like you're getting pushed to the side. Breakfast was very good, halfway through my stay they closed one of the restaurants so it became a bit harder to get Breakfast especially when lining up for eggs sometimes i just gave up. Location is superb, right on the amazing beautiful beach. Staff and service were fantastic the whole time, when I checked out I moved to a different hotel further down the Island, when I got there i realised I had left my HDMI cable(always travels with one) in my room. I contacted them and they had it delivered to me the next day free of charge, much appreciated. The gym is very good and for someone like me that travels full time, it's a massive positive. The TV needs to be upgraded.

The breakfast Buffett was perfect! It’s a perfect location if you want to go with your family, very calm and good for rest in peace

What a wonderful stay we had for 6 nights . Staff , service location and the food was delicious. Everything about our time here was excellent, the gym was adequate enough for workout and the we even attended some of the fitness classes that were well run. The breakfast was full of selections of food choices , coffee teas and juices . Will definitely come back again Thank you to all the staff but especially “Way” who always greeted us each morning at breakfast
